  1. Teochew Clan celebrating Yuan Xiao at Shan Tang Temples

    Dear All,

Just came back from the visiting to Bukit Timah Xiu De Shan Tang (修德善堂 1 of the Blue Cross Temples) located at Jurong East.

This is the 1st time I visit this Temple. After entering into the Temple, was being deeply attracted by the new renovation of the Temple. The Altars that is dedicated to Master Song Da Feng and other Deities were nicely being decorated too, very impressive.

After looking around, a member of the Temple approached us, thought that we will from China, after telling him that we will here to visit the Temple, he was delighted and shared with us the brief history of the Temple.

This year 2008, the Temple will be doing the Celebration for the 50th Anniversary on the 4th Day of Lunar 4 Month (08 May), he kindly invited us to join them in their Celebration and also, welcome All other interested parties to visit their Temple on that day.

Besides that, he also told me that, tomorrow night, which is the Eve of the 15th Day aka Yuan Xiao, most of the Shan Tang (locally & overseas) will have celebration – Teochew Clan paying respect to Master Song Da Feng & other Deities. He invited us to go down and observe.

So for those who are a Fan of Shan Tang Culture, do drop by any Shan Tang Temples, I’m sure you will find that meaning & fruitful.

Last of All, wish All of you – Happy Yuan Xiao Jie.
