Upon request, here is a simple drawing of Yuan Tong Zi Zai Tian Zun.
According to some Taoist Contexts, Yuan Tong Zi Zai Tian Zun appeared in Male-Physical Form whereas in the Scripture that I had posted describe Yuan Tong Tian Zun as Female-Physical Form.
That's worderful Shifu, Thank you very much for the posting.
ReplyDeleteIt's very helpful to broaden our knowledge about Taoism.
Thank you...thank you.

ReplyDeleteyes..she is Kun Yam in buddhism...
ReplyDeleteHow bout Cihang Zhenren/ Cihang Daoren? Is it the same deity as Yuantong Zizai Tianzun?
ReplyDeleteWuliang Shoufu.
Yes, the titles are different, but they refer to the same Immortal.
ReplyDeleteAbout the Deity apearence. Is Guanyin apearence in Japan version take the image of Zihang Zhenren? Considering that Guanyin in Japan version is taking a male form.
ReplyDeleteNo, that happened during Tang Dynasty, in Tang Dynasty, mostly All the Pu Sa are in Male-form, after then, when Chinese Buddhism entered into Japan, the Japan Culture used the Tang Dynasty version as their Blue-print while they create statues for the various Buddhist Deities.
ReplyDeleteIc. Is there any influence of Taoisme in Japan? Besides the Kantei Byo (Guandi Miao) in Yokohama. Is there any trace of Taoism in Japan? from the Deity etc?
ReplyDeleteAccording to one of the students and some Taiwan Seniors, yes, there are a few Taoist Groups and Temples in Japan, especially in Osaka.
ReplyDeleteThe most common Deities will be Guan Gong and the other one is Zheng Cheng Gong.
And how about Taoist Teachings? I know in Japan the Yinyang School is quite developed known as Onmyoujutsu (Yinyang Shu). But I still dont have enough information bout that matter. I think it maybe some link between Taoism and Shintoism
ReplyDeleteYes, according to their saying, the earliest schools that entered into the country are Zheng Yi & Mao Shan, till today, it still the same.
ReplyDeleteOther then such Spiritual Skills, no other teachings will really attract them.
Yin Yang Shu is part of our Chinese Dao, especially the Talisman-writing, it's almost the same, just that the source that the Spiritual People needed to get the Energies from will be different.
In the past, I use to learn their Talisman-writing, but now, no more, due to the Energies are different, it might affect one's Physical Body, Mind & Soul.
But one thing I can said is that, their Talisman-writing is really interested and can said to be a form of Art.
Hahaha.... Yes indeed ^^ I personally more interested in incantations and hand gestures. Specially the Kuji Kiri/Jiuzi Miling. It is said that it originated from Baopuzi. If its true, then it is mainly originated from Taoism, later the Japan Tantric Buddhism adopted it. Thats why I still searching for the refference ^^
ReplyDeleteYes, it is from Bao Pu Zi which is one of our Heavenly Master known as Ge Tian Shi.
ReplyDeleteAfter Dao get into Japan, with their local Religion, Shintonism, Yin Yang Shu and Buddhism, now in their Country, no one actually know where these 9 Gestures originated from.
And of cos, other Non-Taoist Religions are trying to claim that these gestures belongs to them.
Anyway, once a Person is able to use these Gestures correctly and Uprightly, they will know who is the "Creator". And how to know... this will be a Secret :P
Yes. All I know is the set of practice and cultivating Jiuzi in Non-Taoist Religion method. There's must be the original Jiuzi method based on the origins. But I dont know who would know. Do you know a bit information bout this? O yeah, bout the Hand Gestures, what's the different between Jiajue and Shouyin?
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, yes, i did learn this before, but for this set of gestures, no using of it until something destructive happens or life-threatening issue occurs.
ReplyDeleteAs for information, hmm... not much i cant say, cos this concern about Lineage issue.
Jia Jue & Shou Jia, in some contexts, they are being classified as, using Only Finger to do the Hand Formation or using Both Palms to do the Formation, so this is the main difference.
Yes, I understand. Jiuzi is quite powerfull method. Must handle with care ^^ and give it to very selected person also :P
ReplyDeleteYes, usually those who got the position of High Priests or Senior Spiritual Master will have the chance to learn the skill, but again, not all will mastered the hidden power. :P
ReplyDeleteNot all can connect themself to the great universe ^^
ReplyDeleteTrue, this is why, for the recent years, not much Taoist Spiritual People can get the True Enlightenment, unlike some of the Layman. Why? Cos nowadays, most of the High Position Spiritual People only know how to find for the Commericial-reputation and not the True Cultivation and so, this affect their connection with the Great Universe aka Da Dao or Wu Wei Dao.
ReplyDeleteUnlike Layman, some of them are truely Sincere, Faithful and Pure, this is why such group of people can reach a higher level faster than the True "Spiritual People".
I think to find the place with maxed spiritual energy (Lingqi) for place of cultivation is olso important. And nowadays it become more and more rare, coz people are more likely to harm nature better than to live in harmony with it.
ReplyDeleteTrue, this is one of the few reasons that affected one's cultivation.
ReplyDeleteAnother important factor that causes oneself to lose concentration will be Money.
Today, alot of Spiritual People tend to take Money issue more serious that Salvation or Cultivation issues, this is why, a lot of such Cultivation People are being "tied-down or Trapped" in the None-Natural Traps.
I cant said that Money is not necessary for such group of People, but by paying too much attention on this Object, alot of Cultivation and Energies will be lost and at the end, defeat the purpose of entering into the Door of Taoism or Cultivation.
Greed is the most dangerous enemy for a cultivator.
ReplyDeleteTrue, Greed of Wealth, Greed or Reputation, Greed of Fame, etc.. alot alot...
ReplyDeleteNow even in our Religion Society, most of the Top People are into this Greeds and of cos, one follow by another got punishment. I'm sure, soon, the whole Religion Society will be put down by certain Forces.
Okay, back to the purpose of this posting of Yuan Tong Tian Zun.
Alot of the greed people might seek for salvation from Yuan Tong Tian Zun, but I can say that, usually such people wont be able to get the direct blessing from him, cos Yuan Tong Tian Zun will only blessed those who needed salvation and willingly to accept the blessing from our Da Dao.
Once Yuan Tong Tian Zun appeared, alot of sufferings will be eliminated and for sure, the sufferings will be saved.
New Pic added (cihangtianzun.jpg)
ReplyDeleteThis is the Statue dedicated to Zi Zai Tian Zun in China Taoist Temple.
Shifu Jave, I want to know how high the rank of Yuan Tong Zi Zai Tian Zun in daoist deities system, e.g. compared to:
ReplyDeleteXuan Tian, Tai Yang /Tai Yin Xing Jun, Wen Chang, Tian Shang Sheng Mu, Guang Ze Zun Wang, Guan Sheng Di Jun.
Please reply with "lower than ... but higher than ..."
Thx in advance
Will email to you.
