Singapore Chinatown Light-up for Lunar New Year 2012 (新加坡牛車水新春亮燈儀式2012)

On the 1st Jan Evening, LSM Members and family had visited Singapore Chinatown to "witness" the Light-up of Chinatown for the upcoming Lunar New Year of Ren Chen Year (壬辰年).

This practise had been observed by LSM for many years and of cos, this was again another enjoyable trip.

Just while we were waiting for the Lights to be on and the Fireworks to start, we went around the whole Chinatown to look at the stalls and get the necessary goodies.

Besides Tooth-reclic Temple aka Fo Ya Shi (新加坡佛牙寺), we participate in the Charity Orange Tree. Anyone just needed to contribute a S$2.00, you will be able to get a "Fake Orange" with a Wishing Tag tagged onto it. After getting hold of the Orange and Tag, oneself can write Oneself's Name, etc and tick on the various wishes that Oneself wanted to make. Upon completion, just throw the Orange onto the Tree, the Higher the better.

For us, we bought 2 Oranges and will be back to get more when time to come.

After the Lights were on and the Fireworks ended, we continued our tour and at about 10.30Pm, we left Chinatown to proceed home for a good resting for the upcoming Rituals and Events.
