The Stone Slab of Gui She of Ming Dynasty

In here, you all will be seeing 2 different type of Slabs dedicating to Xuan Tian Shang Di (玄天上帝) or Zhen Wu Da Di (真武大帝) in Tang (唐朝) & Ming Dynasty (明朝).

Both were found in China but the one founded in Shaanxi Province, Yao Zhou Area, Yao Wang Mountain (中國陝西耀縣藥王山) was much more rare & precious Slab which weight about 1 ton.

The one carved in Tang Dynasty was by High Priest Wu Dao Zi (唐朝高道吳道子), which the drawing was in the Real-form of a Tortise & Snake, whereas the one drawn in Ming Dynasty was in Chinese Calligraphy-form.

Due to misunderstanding & misconception, people tend to mistaken that the one in Ming Dynasty was drawn in Tang Dynasty and by Lv Dong Bin

Painting of Period of Xuan Tian Shang Di Appearing in Ming Dynasty

Da Ming Xuan Tian Shang Di Rui Ying Tu Lu, a chapter in Taoist Canon, Book 19, Page 632.

A series of Painting/Drawing of Xuan Tian Shang Di appearing in the Celestial Realm and descending into the Mortal Realm at different period in the Ming Dynasty.

The Periods of the appearing & descending were being recorded clearly in the paintings. After doing in-depth researches by the Taoist Scholars & Priests, they summarized these Periods as a form of "Celestial Codes" that linked to a series of Predictions & Advises.

Till today, certain Predictions & Advises were yet to "solve" and the Taoist Society is looking forward to more results in the days to come.

At about 7.00Pm, we arrived at the Temple. Upon arriving, we noticed that there were quite a number of Devotees waiting eagerly for the Teochew Cultural Performance to begin.

While we were waiting for the Show to start, Vabien & Jave used the 30minutes to pay our respect to Yuan Tian Shang Di (元天上帝) and took some pictures of the Temple. As usual, once we entered into the Temple, we were being warmly welcomed by the Members.

At 7.30Pm, the Performance started, so both of us proceed out to the main foyer of the Temple to watch the performance, in between, we met up with familiar faces and friends from the Cultural Groups.

By 9.00Pm, we had to make our leave as we needed to rush back to Singapore.

It was a wonderful & fruitful trip; we had learnt a lot of different cultures and knowledge.

Antique Collection for South East Asia Xuan Tian Shang Di Cultural Group

Thanks to Heavenly Bless and wonderful introduction by a faithful Taoist, South East Asia Xuan Tian Shang Di Cultural Group had got a new addition to the Xuan Tian Statue Collection.

According to the outlook of the new addition, this Statue of Xuan Tian was about 100 over years old and could be a replicate of an original Statue in Ming Dynasty

Even though this Statue was old, the nice aroma of the Wood was still emitting non-stop.

Besides that, 2 Special Statues were being order-made for Taoist Ailsa & Nelson’s Home, this Statue was made accordingly to the one in China Xiao Wu Dang Xuan Tian Temple (中國福建小武當玄天上帝宮廟) and another, dedicating to Taoist Pauline’s Home, made according to the Xuan Tian Statue in Taiwan Gao Xiong Yuan Di Temple (台灣高雄元帝廟).

These 2 Statues were being dotted and enhanced before Geng Yin Year’s Thanksgiving Day, which is 16th Day of Lunar 12 Month
