Kai Nian Jie (開年節), a Traditional Hokkien term used to describe the Ushering In of a New Lunar Year, in some other Hokkien Contexts, Ushering In of a New Lunar Year can also be addressed as Kai Zheng (開正).
Few Hours ago, Long Shan Men (龍山門) had conducted the Ceremony of Ushering in the New Lunar Ji Chou Year for Physical Year 2009, Paying Respect to Yuan Shi Tian Zun (元始天尊) and also, Ushering in Fu Lu Shou - The Three Star Lords (福祿壽).
This Year, the Ushering in of Ji Chou Year was being conducted in Long Shan Men's HQ - Da Luo Yu Qing Fu (大羅玉清府).
As you can see in some of the Pictures, I had used the Gift-set of Baba & Nyonya Tableware for holding the different types of Offerings.
