Pictures of Hokkien Quan Zhou Tian Hou Temple (中國福建泉州天后宮)





In here, you will see the pictures of Quan Zhou Tian Hou Temple.

Quan Zhou Tian Hou Temple, built in Northern Song Dynasty, AD1196 (初建於南宋慶元二年), renovated in Ming Dynasty, AD1415 (明代永樂十三年).

Located at China Hokkien Province, Quan Zhou City, Nan Men Tian Hou Street (福建省泉州市南門天后路).

This Temple was built dedicating to Tian Shang Sheng Mu aka Ma Zu aka Empress Lord of the Sea (天上聖母媽祖).

Till today, Quan Zhou Tian Hou Temple is still a very popular Temple among the Devotees of Ma Zu. Many of the Ma Zu Temples in Asia tend to visit this Temple to request for Enhancement during the Anniversary of Ma Zu during the Lunar 3rd Month.

Besides the Main Ancestral Temple of Ma Zu in Mei Zhou, Quan Zhou Tian Hou Temple can considered as the 2nd most Well-known Ma Zu Temple in the World.

If you will to observe the Tian Fu Gong in Singapore and the Tian Hou Temple in Quan Zhou, you will see some similarity in the layout of the Temple.

  7. This is a worst place but the best place to honour a Tu Di Gong.

    Tu Di Gong that guarded a Temple or a Village shall be placed near to Soil, Open Space and under a Tree to absorb the Element & Energies released out from the Mother Earth.
