A Taoist Scripture dedicated to Heavenly Marshal Tian Peng (天蓬元帥).
This Scripture was recorded in Taoist Canon, Book 1, Page 883.
This is an Official Taoist Scripture to evoke the Energy/Blessing from Heavenly Marshal Tian Peng to eliminate Negative Entities/Energies from surrounding oneself and also, to get rid of excess Sins & Debts that might bring misfortune to oneself and the people around.
太上洞淵北帝天蓬護命消災神呪妙經
起源甚早，陶弘景《登真隱訣》、《真誥》已經記載，名北帝煞鬼法。雲或高聲誦之以制鬼神，或可微微而誦，自然除穢惡，滅三屍，消故氣，鬼魅邪精，永不敢近。行之久久，則北帝每差天丁侍衛。
宋代指天蓬為北極大帝屬下大將之一，北宋時賜“真君”號，該咒又托始於元始天尊所出，雲誦此咒可假天蓬大將威德，降伏眾魔，消蕩妖凶，掃諸穢毒，保令清肅。
Unfortunately, too many people wrongly associate Tian Peng with Piggy from Journey to the West. In the original version of the Journey, Piggy and Tian Peng were not the same person at all - Piggy was merely Marici's (Dou Mu's) charioteer. It would seem that Wu Cheng En made this association up due to his dislike of Taoists of his day. Sad.
