Spring Gathering, in Chinese known as Qing Chun Jiu (請春酒) or He Chun Jiu (喝春酒). This event will carried out throughout the whole period of Lunar New Year (some will end at 15th Day, some will continue till end of Lunar 1 Month).

According to records, this is a very Old & Traditional Practice. Since the Ancient Era, Imperial Court, Magistrate Office, Rich-homes or normal families have been carrying out this practice.

After the First 3 Days of visiting to relative place, the Chinese will start to invite friends or relatives to their own place to have a gathering. While this gathering, good grade of Wines will be served and good quality foods will be prepared to treat the guests.

Why such gatherings are needed?

In-order for the folks to relax & de-stress after a years hardship and working.

And also, to have a chance for one self to reward or repay gratitude to those who have extended their assistance to one self in the old year.

Some folks will also use this opportunity to express their apologetic to those who one self have offended in the old year.
