Xi Yue: Assist Lord Emperor of Earth Realm to look into issues related with all Animal Beings that exist in this Mortal World and also, in-charge of the Natural Resources of Metal in this Mortal World.
Bei Yue: Assist Lord Emperor of Water Realm to look into issues that related with Water, such as streams, valleys, rivers and also, issues related with insects.
Zhong Yue: Assist Lord Emperor of Earth Realm in looking into issues related with Animals that assist Mortals in getting food and also, issues related with Hills, Cliffs, etc.

Just like some folks tend to treat them as Nether World Deities, which is absolutely wrong and such actions cannot be forgiven.
Ah I think they are regarded as netherworld deities because of one of the function of Dong Yue Da Di.

They are Heavenly Bestowed Deities which only being appointed to look into the issues associated with the Nether World Beings.

He can consider as one, but to be more accurate, he cant consider as one too.

I think the temple of Lord Feng Du is gonna be affected or nearby the Three Gorges Dam.

ReplyDeleteFeng Du Da Di is quite a "new" or "isolated" Deity, so not much authority. But in the past, ppl tend to pay respect to him due to he is being appointed to look into the Death issue. But if today we will to eliminate him out from the system, it is possible too.

Cos the Ten Court Lords are the manifestation of Lord Tai Yi.

Dong Yue Da Di was also being called a son of Yu Huang Da Di while some say that he is the general Huang Fei Hu. What is the definite origin of Dong Yue Da Di and is he really connected to Bi Xia Yuan Jun?
The Ten Directional Lords that is the manifestation of Lord Tai Yi Manifested the Ten Court Lords. But where does the Ten Directional Lords reside?
Yu Li is not a Book of Taoism, so this cant be the reference book for those who are really into Taoism.
ReplyDeleteCant say he is totally new, but new in the sense that what is the main task of him, cos if we will to go according to the Chinese Deity System for the Nether World System, Feng Du is just another additional Deity whose task is already being taken up by the other more important Deities.
Huang Fei Hu is a real character in History, due to his loyalty and uprightness, he was being given the title of Dong Yue Da Di in myth, so this one, cant really be a true fact. Cos Dong Yue Da Di exist far before Huang Fei Hu.

Lord Tai Yi manifested Ten Directional and then Ten Directional transformed themselves into the Ten Court Lords.
