WOW!!! All the robes are really beautiful and exquisite...I love the black and white one...haha...I've got a few questions:
1) Does the types of robes a priest wear reveal what rank he is and who wear these robes shown here? 2) Can one type of robes be used for all occasions (eg. funerals, deities birthdays, etc.)? 3) Are the types of robes that LSM priests wear shown here, besides the one you wear?
1) Does the types of robes a priest wear reveal what rank he is and who wear these robes shown here?
Ans: Yes, usually we will have to differentiate the ranking, but now in the Taoist Society, the Priests seldom do that. For us, we still have that, cos since the Ancient Era, we had been wearing the Robes that being bestowed by the Royal Family.
2) Can one type of robes be used for all occasions (eg. funerals, deities birthdays, etc.)?
Ans: In Singapore, some of the Priests will used the same Robe for All the Ceremonies or Rituals, but for some particular and trained Priests, they will used different Robes.
3) Are the types of robes that LSM priests wear shown here, besides the one you wear?
Ans: Of cos, the one that I wear is the simple one which being given to me by my Master, in the future, I will changed to the Purple (Royal) Taoist Robe while performing Rituals.
