Taoist Morning Homework/Reciting (道教早壇功課)

Dear All,

This time round, I will like to introduce to all of you this Taoist Morning Homework/Reciting.

The one here is a short and fast version, in-order to acommodate the fast and busy pace of nowadays' human "foot steps".

Morning Homework/Reciting is a must for all Taoists (Priets/etc). By reciting this Morning Homework, Taoists will tend to understand more on our Taoist Culture and at the same time, remind ourselves that we are Taoists and as a Taoists, we must do the right/accurate stuffs in-order to promote our Taoism and carry-on with the passing-down of Knowledge.

So when is the best time to do our Morning Homework/Reciting?

According to High Priest Master Hong from Taiwan, the best timing will be around 7-9am. If you can, try to recite this short version, after mastering it, then try on the longer version - Xuan Men Zao Ke.

NOTE: This version was recorded based on the Scripture published by Taiwan, Taipei, Gao Xiong Dao De Yuan in the early days.

  2. Thank you bro, dont worry abt the understanding.

As time goes by, you will slowly absorb them (the essences) and slowly you will get the meaning by urself. :P

  7. Dear Jave,

Thank you for so generously sharing all this cultural and spiritual knowledge with us.

I have a few questions if that's okay,

I did not see 玄蘊咒 included despite the other seven of the Eight Spiritual Mantras included. Why is 玄蘊咒 not included? Could you include it in morning recitation?

If you wanted to just practice recitation of the Eight Spiritual Mantras what is the best order in which they should be recited? The order of 1)淨心神咒 2)淨口神咒 3)淨身神咒 4)安土地神咒 5)淨天地神咒 as the first five mantra makes sense to me, but should 祝香神咒 come before 金光神咒 as in what is presented here or is it okay to recite 金光神咒 then 祝香神咒 and finally 玄蘊咒?

Finally, when you are finished with your recitations (either just the Eight Spiritual Mantras or the Morning Reciting) what is the best way to close up? Is it necessary to ease out of the state of mind and energy brought about from recitation? Is it necessary to say another mantra to respectfully send any entities called back to their realm and office? Is there the possibility of any wandering entities getting attracted by the activity of recitation and stick around or get bound to the area? If so, is there a mantra to make sure they are released or sent away after recitation? Are some of my concerns ridiculous or unneeded?

    Thank you!

  10. Thank you Jave for the information, for promoting Taoism!!!!
What I have been looking for is the Xuanmen risong zaowan gongke (Morning and Evening Liturgy of the Mysterious Gate for Daily Recitation) or Quanzhen zaowan tan gongke (Morning and Evening Liturgy of Complete Perfection) with the pinyin notation--your video seems to have a different rite, but I´m not shure, I will check that. The thing is that I don´t know chinese, but would like to learn the recitation with the help of the pinyin notation.
    Peace and Tao!
