15th Day of Lunar 7 Month aka Zhong Yuan Day (中元), in Taoism, this Day is known as the Merit Inspection (考校天下) of Heavenly Lord Di Guan aka Di Guan Da Di (地官大帝), the Heavenly Lord in-charging of the Eliminating of Sins & Debts for ALL Beings (赦罪萬靈).

On this Day, Taoists will also conduct Official & Grand Rituals/Ceremonies dedicating to Heavenly Lord Di Guan for the requesting of Eliminatin g of Sins & Debts for Oneself, Ancestors, Pass-on Love Ones and also, ALL Beings. Besides that, Taoists will also performed a special Ceremony of Sending-off/Burying-into-the-Soil of a Spiritual Petition directing to Heavenly Lord Di Guan for the begging of Forgiveness of the Sins & Debts that Oneself or the People around oneself had done.

In the Rituals/Ceremonies, One of the most Important Honouring Respect that needed to be conducted will be the Chanting of Di Guan Bao Chan (地官寶懺) or full title known as Yuan Shi Tian Zun Shuo Zhong Yuan Er Pin Di Guan She Zui Bao Chan (元始天尊說中元二品地官赦罪寶懺), some context recorded as Ling Bao Tian Zun Shuo Zhong Yuan Er Pin Di Guan She Zui Bao Chan (靈寶天尊說中元二品地官赦罪寶懺).

This Spiritual Petition is known as San Guan Shou Shu (三官手書) or Di Guan Shou Shu (地官手書). In the modern Era now, this Spiritual Petition can considered as an Unknown to a lot of Taoists & Organisations.

Heavenly Lord Tai Yi Descending Day for Year 2010/2011 (庚寅/辛卯年太乙救苦天尊下降日)

In Taoism, certain Contexts marked the 11th Day of Lunar 7 Month as the Manifestation Day of Heavenly Lord Tai Yi (太乙天尊聖誕) but to be more Accurate, this Day shall be known as the Descending Day of Lord Tai Yi for the Salvation of the Suffering & Wandering Souls (太乙天尊廣大慈悲救苦拔幽濟度朝/日).

For Year 2010, it falls on the 20 Aug, a Friday.

For Year 2011, it falls on the 10 Aug, a Wednesday.

Heavenly Lord Tai Yi, the Supreme Heavenly Lord that In-charge of the Salvation of Souls & Spirits in Taoism. And can said that, he is the Only One that being Official Recognised in Taoism for the Compassionate & Passion of Salvaging the Suffering Souls.

During this Day, in Taoism, special & grand Rituals/Ceremonies would be conducted for the Taoist Priests to evoke the Energies & Blessing from Heavenly Lord Tai Yi in-order to Divert/Direct/Dedicate the Salvation Blessing to the Suffering Souls & Wandering Spirits and lead them Back to the Source where after a Mortal pass-on – Dong Ji Qing Hua Chang Le Jie (東極青華長樂界) aka The Eternal Joyous & Serenity Realm of the Eastern Palace.

And maybe due to the Misunderstanding of the other Non-Taoist Faiths, telling People that 7th Month is a Month for the Releasing of Hungry Ghosts from the Hell to the Mortal Realm, many Folks had combined these 2 Events together to become the so-called “Hungry Ghost Festival (餓鬼節)”.

For those who can Understand how the Official Taoism had functioned and how the Upright Teaching that our Taoist Ancestors had pass-down, I, personally think that, a lot of Practises & Mindsets must be changed in-order to return the Truth Identity of 7th Month Festival back to the Original Objective & Purpose.

So what can Oneself do on this Day to get the Blessing from Lord Tai Yi?

In Taoism, on this Day, it will be the Best Day to Honour Lord Tai Yi by using the Five Taoist Offerings aka Dao Jiao Wu Gong (道教五供 – link: http://javewu.multiply.com/journal/item/131).

Besides that, will be requesting Blessing & Salvation from Lord Tai Yi for the Pass-on Ones by lighting a 7-days Candles with the Labelling of the Name & Death-Date of the Pass-on Ones and then, placed it in front of Lord Tai Yi or Altar that dedicated to Three Realms (三界台).

So how to write the Labelling for the Candles?

Here it goes:

Print it out using a 5cm (width) by 10cm (height) Label or Red Paper.

For Grandfather & Male Ancestors (祖父輩及男祖上):

For Grandmother & Female Ancestors (祖母輩及女祖上):

For Father & Father-in-laws (父輩):

For Mother & Mother-in-laws (母輩):

For Male Pass-on (男卒者-不分年齡):

For Female Pass-on (女卒者-不分年齡):

So once the Candles are Ready, what to do next?

Once All the Candles are ready, Respectfully make 3 Bows to Lord Tai Yi or Heaven and then kneel down and report what is the Date, Name of Oneself and the Lighting of the Candles for the Pass-on.

After then, light the Candles and recite the Official Title of Lord Tai Yi for 21 Times and then Stand-up and place the Candles on the Altar.

Official Title of Lord Tai Yi: Tai Yi Xun Sheng Jiu Ku Tian Zun (太乙尋聲救苦天尊)

Once this is Done, the Credits & Blessing for the Lighting of the Candles for the Pass-on is considered completed.

WB News : Seeking Wealth Luck during 7th Month Festival (晚報之上墳山求真字)

Wan Bao News Aug 10, by SC Goh

Last night opening of Hell Gate, 200 people went to pray for 4D to new ghosts !

Praying for 4D Lottery at the Cemetery Grounds during the 1st Day of the 7th month

Last night was supposed to be the opening of the Hell Gate, and more than 200 people
went to Choa Chu Kang Cemetery to seek for 4D, especially seeking for fortune from the newly deceased !

A big crowd of devotees gathered at the entrance of CCK Cemetery last night during the opening of the Hell Gate to seek for fortune

Last night, this reporter went along with API together to check out the cemetery, and found crowds of
people gathering at different corners of CCK cemetery.

According to API, these devotees would gather at certain designated places in the cemetery in accordance to advice from the priests for the rituals.

Some groups would choose the newer cemetery grounds for the rituals, as they believe the energy levels are higher.

According to the observations on site, these rituals were relatively elaborate. In some cases, after the rituals,
the devotees would churn out the 4D lottery nos from various slips of papers. Later they would puay phay to check if these were the correct numbers.

Long Shan Men Sect 35th Sect Leader Jave Wu said that these devotees would make a sort of agreement after the ritual to the ghosts that if they were to strike lottery, they would bring forth offerings as thanks in return

Not only in the cemetery ground, but also in the small altars setup in the little forest within the cemetery grounds, one could find these devotees.

It was believed that these devotees came from various sintuas, temples or other associations. They came last night after 11 pm and started praying at the main entrance of the CCK cemetery. Some drove directly into the cemetery ground.

Along the cemetery road, you can see candles being lit on both sides, and ritual papers being scattered on the ground.

Jave mentioned that these ritual papers were in fact "money" used for the opening of the roads. Those candles lighting around the roads were lights opening the road as a passageway and boundary area to guide the good brothers to enjoy the feast and offerings being prepared.

Ritual money for opening of the Roads

Candle lights to guide the good brothers to the offerings

In the little forest within the cemetery were also small little altars for these rituals. Many devotees came with offerings to these little altars. There were also many cars parked along the side of these little altars.

We can also see young people driving fast cars with pretty ladies going to the cemetery. Mainly they came to pray for their business.

There were also middle aged people who came for 4D and also for health and peace. After praying, they would sit
"Huat Ah" in unison before distributing "huat" kueh around.

As for the young people in flashy cars and trendy clothes, they came to pray for success in business.

One can also see in some parts of the cemetery, each and every grave being lit up with joss sticks and prayed for.

This was because it was believed that those graves who were abandoned and unprayed for would became wondering ghosts. So one would seek merit to pray to those unattended graves.

Up to 1 am, one would still see these devotees coming with their offerings. This usually quiet cemetery has burst into life.

The Important Dates for Lunar 7 Month (農曆七月之重要日子)

Rating:★★★
Category:Other

A lot of People/Folks have always being freak-off by the arrival of Lunar 7 Month and with the Wrongly Publicity of Articles & Comments by various so-called Well-known Geomancy Masters over the World, it added on the Wrong-concept and In-accurate Teaching of Lunar 7 Month (民間誤傳而使民眾驚心膽顫﹐搞的農曆七月有如"人間煉獄"﹐導致眾人忘記其實農曆七月有著很多重要的日子).

To be more Correct and Confirmed, Lunar 7 Month is a Month for Oneself to perform Reflection, Obtaining the Correct Mindset of doing Good Deeds and also, to show our Care, Concern & Filial Piety to our own Family Members and also the other Beings.

In the following, Jave will like to list out a few Important Dates that the Ancient Taoists/Chinese were conducted Rituals/Ceremonies:

1) Xian Tian Festival (先天節)

This is a Day for the Taoists/Chinese to honour Xuan Yuan Huang Di aka Yellow Emperor (軒轅黃帝).

This Festival was Officially being fixed in Song Dynasty (AD1012 大中祥符五年) by the 3rd Emperor of Song Empire known as Song Zhen Zong (宋真宗) aka Emperor Zhao Heng (趙恆).

According to Emperor Zhao Heng, this was the Day that Yellow Emperor descended into the Mortal Realm to reborn as his Grand-Ancestor known as Zhao Xuan Lang (趙玄朗).

In AD 1012, after Emperor Zhao Heng got a Dream of Zhao Xuan Lang reminding him that their Family Lineage started from Yellow Emperor, from then, Emperor Zhao Heng had decided to mark this Important on the Lunar Calendar and pass-it-down to his Descendants and after serious discussion with his Official Officers, on AD 1012, Lunar 10 Month (Leap Month 潤十月), Emperor Zhao Heng announced an Edict to the Whole Country of fixing 1st Day of Lunar 7 Month as Xian Tian Festival aka Pre-Heavenly Immortality Day (農曆七月初一日為先天節) and on this Day, it will be a Public Holiday for the whole Country.

And according to Taoist Contexts, Zhao Xuan Lang was later being Manifested into Heavenly Marshal Zhao Gong Ming (趙公明天君) aka Deity of Wealth. And so, in Folks Culture, 1st Day of Lunar 7 Month is also a Day for the Commoners to get the Wealth Blessing from the Deity of Wealth (財神).

2) Kui Xing Honouring (魁星會)

Kui Xing Honouring, a Special Ceremony that conducted by the Scholars & Schools in the Ancient Era, according to Records, this Honouring was found being practices far before Tang Dynasty.

On the 7th Day of Lunar 7 Month (農曆七月初七日), it was known as the Manifestation Anniversary of Star Lord Kui Xing – in-charge of Academic Study & Career. On this Day, Scholars, Students & Schools were conducted a small scale of Honouring & making Offerings to Lord Kui Xing in the Evening.

During this Honouring, Scholars, Students or even Teachers were take turns to pay their respect to Lord Kui Xing by making 3 times of Kneeling-down and 9 Kowtows (三跪九叩), hoping that, Lord Kui Xing would bestowed the Academic & Good Career Blessing on them and giving them a Bright Future.

After the Honouring, Scholars & Students were ate 3 types of Dried/Preserved Fruits/Nuts, they were:

Gui Yuan (桂圓) aka Dried Longans (龍眼干) – for the Blessing of getting 1st in the Imperial Examination known as Zhuang Yuan (狀元).

Qin Zi (秦子/榛子) aka Hazelnuts or Chestnut – for the Blessing of getting 2nd in the Imperial Examination known as Bang Yan (榜眼).

Hua Sheng (花生) aka Peanuts – for the Blessing of getting 3rd in the Imperial Examination known as Tan Hua (探花).

3) Qi Xi Honouring (七夕祭)

Qi Xi Honouring (7th Day of Lunar 7 Month 農曆七月初七日), a Day to remember the Love of Niu Lang (牛郎) aka Cowherd & Zhi Nv (織女) aka The Weaven Fairy.

On this Day, the Ladies were prepared an Altar, facing the Sky, by the time of Sunset, the Ladies were gathered around the Altar to pay their respect to Zhi Nv, hoping that Zhi Nv would bestowed a Good Love Blessing for them, in-order for them to find a Good & Handsome Husband in the future.

After the Honouring, the Ladies were used the Water that being Offered to Zhi Nv for the washing of their face and then, put on the Perfume that they had got for Zhi Nv to increase their Love-Luck and also to gain the Blessing of becoming more Beautiful.

Upon the completion of the Washing-up, the Ladies were ate the Sweet Items that being Offered to Zhi Nv for “Sweetness Blessing (甜甜蜜蜜)”, hoping that their Future Husband would Love them forever without Fail.

7th Day of Lunar 7 Month is also being known as the 2nd Lunar Valentines (華夏情人節) for the Chinese (1st is on the 15th Day of Lunar 1 Month & 3rd in on the 15th Day of Lunar 8 Month).

4) Heavenly Lord Tai Yi Descending Day (太乙天尊下降日)

In Taoism, certain Contexts marked the 11th Day of Lunar 7 Month (農曆七月十一日) as the Manifestation Day of Heavenly Lord Tai Yi (誤傳為太乙天尊聖誕) but to be more Accurate, this Day shall be known as the Descending Day of Lord Tai Yi for the Salvation of the Suffering & Wandering Souls (較正確的應該是太乙天尊廣大慈悲救苦拔幽濟度朝/日).

And maybe due to the Misunderstanding of the other Non-Taoist Faiths, telling People that 7th Month is a Month for the Releasing of Hungry Ghosts from the Hell to the Mortal Realm, many Folks had combined these 2 Events together to become the so-called “Hungry Ghost Festival (被民間誤導而稱農曆七月為餓鬼節)”.

5) Heavenly Lord of Earthly Realm Inspecting the Mortal Realm (地官大帝考校人間)

15th Day of Luanr 7 Month Honouring aka Zhong Yuan Ji (中元祭), started in Zhou Dynasty (始于周朝), this is a Festive Day for the Taoists & Chinese to pay respect to their Ancestors, Passed-on Parents, Masters, Teachers, etc. A Month or a Festive Period of remembering the People who had Positive-ly Influence oneself.

This Day, it was also known as the Manifestation Anniversary or Inspection Day of Di Guan Da Di (中元地官大帝下降考校日) aka The Heavenly Lord of the Earthly Realm.

On this Day, Taoist Priests would be engaged to perform the Salvation Rituals for the Passed-on, in-order to assist them to ascend to the Eastern Palace to enjoy the Eternal Joyous and also, to assist a Good Cultivated Person to attain Enlightenment.

Besides that, also to show the Filial Piety of oneself or the descendants of assisting the Passed-on Ancestors or Parents to get out of any form of Sufferings after their Mortal-Departure (Please take note that, in Zhou Dynasty, there have yet to have the Nether-World Theory and so, Salvation for the Passed-on is usually mend for assisting the Passed-on to reach Enlightenment faster, etc).

And also, to seek Forgiveness for the Pass-ons/Living Beings from the Deities in-order to lessen their Sins & Debts (敬求赦罪).

Another saying is that, Zhou Dynasty Zhong Yuan Salvation Rituals were conducted dedicating to those who died in Wars, Accidents, Accused-to-Death, Died-of-Diseases, Homeless-souls, etc. A Day to show our Gratitudes to this group of Passed-on or to show Compassionate & Kindness to the Poverty.

6) Honouring to Lord Tai Sui (值年太歲誕祭)

19th Day of Lunar 7 Month (農曆七月十九日), the Manifestation Anniversary of Lord Tai Sui (為值年太歲星君壽辰) aka Deity In-charge of Years & Age.

For those who had seek Lord Tai Sui’s Blessing & Protection during the Lunar New Year Period, on this Day, Oneself will need to return to the respective Temple to pay respect to Lord Tai Sui, thanking Lord Tai Sui for looking after Oneself for the Past 6 Months. The next round of thanking Lord Tai Sui will be before Lunar 12 Months before the New Lunar Year arrived.

In Summary

Don’t always think that Lunar 7 Month is a Month that Oneself will see Ghosts or Encountered Ghosts. To be more accurate, if Oneself is fated to see Ghosts, everywhere Oneself goes, the Ghost will followed.

In Taoism, Lunar 7 Month is a Month full of Passion & Compassionate (農曆七月應該是慈悲之月﹐而非民間所誤傳的"鬼月").

If Oneself is able to put down ALL the misconceptions & misunderstanding, I think, ALL Ghosts will disappear and return back to where they shall belong too in a faster pace rather than hanging around now in this Messy & Unreasonable Space.

Do think twice again in the future before Oneself thought that Lunar 7 Month is filled with ALL types of Ghost. For those who have such Thought, usually in their Mindset, they are out there to perform Nasty Issues (心裡有鬼).

What is 7th Month Festival 2010? (何為農曆七月中元普度)

Rating:★★★
Category:Other

7th Mth Festival, a month/festival that always being misunderstood/mistreat by Folks as Hungry Ghost Festival (餓鬼節). It is really sad to have such thought of honouring Hungry Ghost. Maybe this was being strongly and wrongly influenced by the other Non-Taoist Faith (非本宗道教之信仰).

For this misconception, it will need to be improved and clear-up for people to realise that, 7th Month is actually a Month of Good Intentions (發善心) & Filial Piety (存孝思) rather than making people freak-out by ALL the horrible sayings.

Hope that in the future, certain Official Organisations can take extra close attention on the Title-used for addressing the 7th Month Festival, if not, this misconception will continue to be there forever and not allowing to reveal the True Identity and Main Purpose of Celebration the 7th Month Festival.

Beginning of Autumn Season – Li Qiu 2010 (庚寅年立秋時節)

Rating:★★★
Category:Other

Li Qiu (立秋), known as the Beginning of Autumn Season (秋季之始) or the Arrival of Autumn in Chinese Context.

This is the Day to mark the start of Autumn Season and also, to remind the People that, the Weather will be changing and its time to do some Replenishing of Energies for our Physical Health by taking some Herbal Recipes (入秋進補).

During this Beginning of the Autumn Period, Chinese will like to consume slightly Heaty Food Items (溫熱食品) or Strong/Spicy Food Items (辛辣佳餚) to strengthen the Stomach & Gastric (強胃建脾). This is to prevent the Stomach & Gastric from being affected by the sudden decline of Temperature when Mid Autumn arrived (深秋來臨).

In Year 2010, Li Qiu falls on 07 Aug, a Saturday and in Lunar Six Month (農曆六月).

According to the Poem of Li Qiu, if Li Qiu will to fall in Lunar Six Month, Crops & Plantations wont be able to have a Good Harvesting due to the drastic Weather & Climate change.

In the Ancient Era, during the Beginning of Autumn Period, the Emperor would call for a Honouring Respect at the West Boundary in the Imperial City. This was to respect the Spiritual/Celestial Beings for providing the Blessing for the Empire and also, to request for Blessing for the Empire’s Luck and also for Good Harvesting for the Citizens (西郊秋祭).

As in Taoism, Taoists will be honouring the Deities, performing Chanting and also, to honour Ancestors (立秋祭祖). This is to show the Respect and also Filial Piety towards the Ancestors, not forgetting their credits and hardship for bringing us up, etc (緬懷祖德).

Long Shan Fei Jie Fu Celebration Lord Pu Hua’s Manifestation Anniversary 2010 (庚寅年正一龍山飛捷府啟建普化天尊聖誕祝壽科儀)

This Year, Year 2010 (天運庚寅年), with the initiative and volunteering of conducting a Celebration Honouring dedicated to Heavenly Lord Pu Hua (九天應元雷聲普化天尊) by Vabien, on the 24th Day of Lunar 6 Month (04 Aug 2010 農曆六月廿四日), the Celebration Honouring was being conducted at Vabien’s House.

PS: Heavenly Lord Pu Hua was also known as the Heavenly Lord of the Thunderial Department in Taoism, whom is in-charge of the Five Type of High Authorities Thunders (五雷).

In the early Morning, still raining heavily, Jave had went down town to get the delicious 6 Vegetarian Items for the Honouring and due to heavy rain and traffic jams everywhere in town, Jave was slightly for the Honouring and upon arriving at Vabien’s House, most of the Offerings were already being lay-out nicely, waiting for my Vegetarian Items and also, the newly enhanced Statue of Heavenly Lord Pu Hua (see pic 03).

This Statue of Lord Pu Hua was being custom-made 2 years ago (according to the descriptions mentioned inside the Scripture & Bao Gao 寶誥) upon the request of Lord Pu Hua while most of the Long Shan Men’s disciples doing training on the Only Dedicated Scripture of Lord Pu Hua – Yu Su Bao Jing (玉樞寶經).

Due to space-constraints on our individual altar, this Statue of Lord Pu Hua had never being enhanced and invited and today, it was really our fortune and joyous to have the chance of inviting the Statue of Lord Pu Hua for the witnessing of the Celebration Honouring at the Branch in-charged by Vabien – Zheng Yi Long Shan Fei Jie Fu (正一龍山飛捷府).

At about 11.30Am, the Celebration Honouring started by making a short report to the Three Realms, Cleansing and also, enhancing the Offerings (see pic 07).

Once the Cleansing was done, the Honouring for the Manifestation of Lord Pu Hua began, this Honouring was known as Birthday Respect, Zhu Shou (祝壽) in Chinese (see pic 08-14).

After the Zhu Shou was done, Vabien was advice to throw the Divination Block (筊杯) to ask for whether the Deities accepted the Honouring and with delightfulness, Vabien was given a nice reply (see pic 15-18).

With completion of Vabien’s enquiries, it was the time for Jave to chant the Only Dedicated Scripture of Lord Pu Hua – Yu Su Bao Jing (see pic 19-22). During the Chanting of Yu Su Bao Jing, Vabien had encountered the Mentioned Miracles in the Yu Su Bao Jing, for this, I will leave it to Vabien to explain to you all in the future.

Due to this Day was considered an Auspicious & Important Day in Taoism, upon the request of Vabien, Jave also conducted the Enhancing of 10 Amulet Bags (富貴平安香火袋) for Vabien for the distributing to Devotees & Fated Parties (see pic 23-28).

Upon the completion of the Amulet Bags, it was time for Jave to enhance and also performing the requesting of Authorities from Lord Pu Hua & Lord Tai Yi (太乙尋聲救苦天尊) for Vabien’s 2 Spiritual Flags – Flag of Inspector of the Six Official Departments of Long Shan Men (正一龍山九天巡撫六府都案令旗) and Flag of Tian Peng Tian You Heavenly Army (天篷天猷北天玄極護法令旗) - (see pic 29-48).

At about 2.00Pm, the whole Celebration Honouring and Enhancing of Spiritual Items were done and we proceed to the Sending-off of Paper Offerings (see pic 74-82). As usual, we encountered the same experience of last year while presenting our Paper Offerings to Lord Pu Hua – Sun-shine Rain under a Cloudless moment.

The Love that last for Ten Generations – Seventh Generation ~ Red String broke the Fate (十世緣之第七世紅線斷緣)

Rating:★★★
Category:Other

In here, you all will be reading thru a Long Story of 10 Series. This Long Story is written base on the Spiritual Reading & Prediction, meaning that ALL the Characters in the Story are “True”. In-order not to reveal the True Identity of the Real People involved, the Names of the Characters will be changed.

Here it goes, starting from the Seventh Generation of the Continuous Love…

With a Cloudless Night, cool breeze blowing across the Town of Qing Jiao Area in Hokkien Province, Xia Men City (中國福建夏門青礁地區), while the Bright Moonlight was shining on the Mansion of Squire Wu (吳相清員外), a loud crying of a new born baby was heard. It was the crying of Squire Wu’s 1st Daughter, which was giving the name of Wu Zi Wei (吳紫薇), this Day was the 15th Day of Lunar 3 Month – which was known as the Manifestation Celebration of Bao Sheng Da Di (保生大帝).

Soon, 40 Days had passed and it was the Day that Squire Wu held the Full-month Celebration for his Daughter, just as the Wu Mansion was flooded with Guests, a Taoist Priest entered into the Main Hall and walked straight to Squire Wu and where Zi Wei was.

Upon looking at the Priest, Zi Wei started to smile broadly and struggled to let the Priest hold on to her, Seeing that Zi Wei behaved so strangely, Squire Wu was surprised and without delaying, he ushered the Priest to a Seat and asked for his Taoist Title.

With returning of Respect, the Priest introduced himself as Priest Qing Huang (慶隍山人), whom started somewhere near in the Forested Area and was about 140 years old.

After knowing that this Priest was a living “Immortal”, Squire Wu respected him more and immediately served Tea to Priest Qing Huang. Just as Squire Wu was about to ask why Zi Wei was attracted to him, Priest Qing Huang smiled and looked at Zi Wei, slowly caressing her forehead and spoke to Squire Wu, telling him that, this girl was actually one of his Cultivation-mate during the Yue Fei Period (岳飛), known as Ye Hong Ling (葉虹翎).

That Year, after Ye Hong Ling, Priest Qing Huang and the other 2 Cultivation-mates entered into the Forest for their Cultivation, Ye Hong Ling’s old wounds (injured during she escaped by being captured) were infected by germs and without a few months, Ye Hong Ling pass-on due to Heart-weakening. After Ye Hong Ling had pass-on, the other 3 Cultivation-mates had to travel to another place to continue their Cultivation and on the way, another Mate known as Chen Shao Jin (陳少金) was being summoned back by an Immortal and left Priest Qing Huang and his sworn brother Jiang Luan (江巒).

Soon, the whole Song Dynasty entered into an Chaotic Situation and so, Priest Qing Huang & Jiang Luan had to travel around to assist in the needy and also, finding a best suitable Cultivation spot. Just as the 2 of them were about to travel to the Island of Formosa, they reached the Border of Hokkien Province – Xia Men (夏門). And so, both of them stayed at one of the deserted Temple to continue their Cultivation and with the fast flowing time, they had reached 100 over years old.

After listening to the explanation of Priest Qing Huang, Squire Wu was delighted and amazed to know that his Daughter was actually closely connected with Priest Qing Huang and after a short consideration, Squire Wu made his request of asking Priest Qing Huang to take in Zi Wei as his Disciple. Upon hearing that, Priest Qing Huang was happy and nodded his head with joyous.

16 Years passed.

In the early morning of the 15th Day of Lunar 3 Month, Zi Wei happily dashed to the Main Hall to pay her respect to her Parent and requested to go to Dong Gong Temple (東宮/青礁慈濟宮/保安宮) to pay respect to Bao Sheng Da Di.

Knowing that this was the “annual task” that Zi Wei would do, so the Parent agreed and asked Xiao Hai (小烸), the maid, to accompany her to the Temple.

Xiao Hai, the personal maid of Zi Wei. At a young age, Xiao Hai was sold to Squire Wu as servant due to her family was poor. Seeing that Xiao Hai was cute and intelligent little girl, Squire Wu sent her to become the child-maid cum playmate of Zi Wei. Since the day, Xiao Hai saw Zi Wei, Xiao Hai had treated her like her Elder Sister and Zi Wei too. For 16 years, Xiao Hai was always being nicely treated by the Wu Family and Zi Wei had treated her like her Real-sister.

Just as both of them were about to leave the House, Priest Qing Huang approached them after his Morning Ritual, Zi Wei and Xiao Hai respectfully pay their respect and reported to Priest Qing Huang of where they were going. As Zi Wei was telling him the programmes of the Day, Priest Qing Huang felt that something was not very right and so, without waiting Zi Wei to end her reporting, Priest Qing Huang started to do a Spiritual Prediction by calculating using his Palm.

Soon, Priest Qing Huang shakes his head and recited a Poem to Zi Wei:

緣起緣生緣無盡。(Fate had arise, Fate had arrived)
沉沉浮浮七世情。(Seeking and Hiding, but it still appeared in this Life)
何時何日何許地。(When and Where, who and how)
才能一刀了緣蒂。(This continuous Fate will be disconnected and be it put aside)

While Priest Qing Huang was reciting the Poem, Zi Wei & Xiao Hai were looking at each other puzzle-ly and after Priest Qing Huang finished, he just walked off and leaving the 2 girls standing on the Doorway staring into space.

In the Temple.

The Temple was filled with Devotees of Bao Sheng Da Di, trying their very best to find a good spot to make their wishes, the 2 girls had to squeeze themselves thru the various layers of “obstacles”. Spotting 2 kneeling-pads were vacant, Xiao Hai quickly dashed over and waved to Zi Wei to come over. Just as both of them were about to pay their respect, commotion arise outside the Temple.

Soon, the commotion was getting nearer to them and after Zi Wei making her requests, she stood up and saw that, it was Li Tian Cheng (李天成), her distant cousin creating the commotion outside the Temple. Knowing that this distant cousin was a hooligan, Zi Wei ignored him and walked off rolling her eyes at him.

Seeing Zi Wei and Xiao Hai were in the Temple, Li Tian Cheng dashed over to greet them and while he was staring at Xiao Hai, Li Tian Cheng stretched out one of his hand to grab hold onto Xiao Hai’s hand. Xiao Hai was shocked and immediately hid behind Zi Wei. Upon seeing this, Zi Wei was angry and immediately shouted at Li Tian Cheng and asked him to get out of the way.

After knowing that Zi Wei had been offending, Li Tian Cheng had to tame down and let them exit from the Temple, just as Zi Wei & Xiao Hai stepped out of the Temple, Li Tian Cheng told his assistants that, one day, he would make sure that these 2 girls suffered under him.

Walking onto the main street, Zi Wei comfort Xiao Hai and just as both of them were chit-chatting, a large crowd blocked their way, Zi Wei was curious to find out what had happened and so, she pulled Xiao Hai into the crowd and soon, Zi Wei reached the front and just at that spilt moment, Zi Wei was attracted by the Young Physician sitting at the low stool, examining the patient.

By looking at the crowd, Xiao Hai was curious of why, so many people were crowded around this Young Physician and so, she started her “Ask Around to get an Answer attitude” by asking around. Soon she got the answer, cos this Young Physician was believed to be one of the Disciples of Bao Sheng Da Di and so, whenever he came to the Temple to pay his respect to Bao Sheng Da Di, people were crowd around him to request for Medical-examination.

Soon, the crowd started to disperse off, only left with Zi Wei, Xiao Hai and the Young Physician. Lifting his head, the Young Physician was deeply attracted by the look of Zi Wei and for a short moment, both of them were like being freezed on the spot. Looking at the 2 people, Xiao Hai was laughing away and with a push at Zi Wei, Zi Wei started to get blush and the Young Physician felt embarrassed.

After a while, Xiao Hai approached the Young Physician and asked for his name, the Young Physician return his respect by introduced himself as Fu Zhi Yi (傅志義).

In-order not to create trouble, Xiao Hai introduced herself as the cousin of Zi Wei and Zi Wei as the Daughter of a Noodle-seller at the other Town.

As the 3 of them were chit-chatting, Li Tian Cheng passed by the spot and noticed that Zi Wei was talking to a stranger, he was quite provoked and so, immediately, he dashed towards the Wu Mansion to accuse Zi Wei of meeting guys secretly outside without reporting to the parent.

Sun setting and the street was deserted.

Zi Wei & Xiao Hai reached home just before Dinner, just as Zi Wei was about to enter the Dining Hall, she saw her father’s face was blacken and her mother was sitting there with a worried expression.

Just as Zi Wei & Xiao Hai entered into the Dining Hall and paying their respect, Squire Wu blew his top by reprimanding Zi Wei’s misbehaviour in the public by talking to stranger guy, etc. Upon hearing that, Zi Wei was shocked, cos she couldn’t figure out, why her father knew about that. On the spot, she had to keep quiet and after dinner, Zi Wei went to look for her mother to find out on the situation.

Knowing that this was his distant cousin’s trick, Zi Wei was annoyed and complaint to her mother on the molesting issue of Xiao Hai by Li Tian Cheng.

3 Months passed.

One Day, after returning home from Dong Gong Temple, Zi Wei was being called to her father’s study room. Upon entering, she saw her distant Aunty, which was the mother of Li Tian Cheng, at the moment, Zi Wei had felt something was wrong and soon, Squire Wu informed Zi Wei that within 2 weeks, she would be married to the Li Family and became the Wife of Li Tian Cheng. At the split second, Zi Wei was almost died of heart attack.

After gaining back her conscious, Zi Wei dashed out crying bitterly. Seeing that Zi Wei was crying, Xiao Hai had to chase after her to check out on what had happened.

Soon, Xiao Hai had found out that Zi Wei was being forced to marry Li Tian Cheng, Xiao Hai was angry and without hesitation, she went to Fu Zhi Yi’s house to inform him that Zi Wei would be married off soon. Upon receiving the news, Zhi Yi was terribly hurt. After Xiao Hai mumbled something into his ears, Zhi Yi started to calm down and nodded to Xiao Hai and promised her that he would do it.

On the Day of the fetching of the Bride, Zi Wei reluctantly to get married, but due to Filialy Piety, she had to accept it. Just as she was stepping out of her room, Priest Qing Huang passed her a note and asked her to open it up after entering into the Sedan Chair.

At the Main Hall, Zi Wei had to bid farewell to her Parent and soon, she was being led to the Sedan Chair.

At the City Border, before entering into the Town of when Li Family staying, suddenly the Sedan Chair stopped, in front of the Sedan Chair, Zhi Yi was trying his best to dash towards where Zi Wei was and with a strong pull, Zhi Yi pulled Zi Wei out from the Sedan Chair, just as the people of the Wedding Procession started to ran towards Zhi Yi & Zi Wei, Xiao Hai & Priest Qing Huang went forward to stop them.

Looking back at them, Zi Wei thanked Xiao Hai & Priest Qing Huang for their kind assistances and with the instruction on the Note, Zhi Yi & Zi Wei escaped to the Straw-hut where Priest Qing Huang had prepared for them.

Even though Zhi Yi & Zi Wei had escaped from the Force-marriage, the 2 of them didn’t get married on the Day, cos of Zhi Yi’s mother had just pass-on for not more than 2 years. Upon discussing, Zi Wei agreed to wait for the mourning period to over then the 2 of them would get married.

Time flies and Heaven was putting testing on them.

After 6 months, Zhi Yi’s saving had used up and knowing that the house need the necessities, Zi Wei secretly sneaked out of the house and went into the Town to pawn her jewelleries in-order to exchange for cash.

At the Pawn-shop, Zi Wei overheard the conversation of the Boss and one of the regular customers, which both of them were the friends of Squire Wu, that Squire Wu was seriously ill after her Daughter had escaped from the marriage, besides that, Li Tian Cheng had made a report to the Magistrate Officer to sue Squire Wu for not keeping his promise of marrying his Daughter to the Li Family.

Upon hearing the news, Zi Wei break-down and without consideration, she ran home.

At the Doorway, Zi Wei started to get worried and scared. She worried that her father might not be able to forgive her and she scared that, Li Tian Cheng would be hiding somewhere to wait for her.

Just as she was hiding herself behind the Doorway Lion, Mu Lian (木蓮), her mother’s maid saw her and with joyous, Mu Lian ran towards her to ask for her current situations. After explaining to Mu Lian, Zi Wei requested Mu Lian to let her in without anyone noticing. Mu Lian agreed and so, she asked Zi Wei to wait at the Rear-alley while she went to open the Kitchen Door for Zi Wei to enter.

Soon, Zi Wei was inside the Mansion and after finding out from Mu Lian, Xiao Hai was being captured by the Magistrate Officer and was tortured to death while being confessed to plead guilty. Zi Wei was shocked and deeply upset by the death of Xiao Hai and she promised that, forever, Xiao Hai would be her sister no matter where & when.

While the 2 Ladies were chatting, they came to the side window of Squire Wu’s resting room. By peeking into the room, Zi Wei saw that her father had slim down a lot and looked seriously ill.

Tears rolling, throat stuck with Thousand Words.

As Zi Wei was about to leave with bitterness, suddenly she heard her father calling her name in his dream. At this moment, Zi Wei couldn’t stand it anymore, she quickly dashed towards the room door and pushed open the door and ran towards her father’s bedside.

Holding on to the hands of her father & calling softly at her father, Zi Wei break-down. In the dream, Squire Wu heard Zi Wei calling him. Thinking that, this was just a dream, Squire Wu didn’t open his eyes till the second round of calling by Zi Wei, Squire Wu realised that this was not dream.

While he slowly opened his eyes, Zi Wei was kneeling at the bed side, Squire Wu was overly-joy seeing Zi Wei had returned her.

Seeing that her father had awaked, Zi Wei kowtowed to him and asked for forgiveness. Trying his best to sit up, Squire Wu grab-hold onto Zi Wei’s hands and told her that there was no grudge between parents and their children and he only wanted her to be happy. Upon hearing that, both the father and daughter hugged each other and cried out sadly.

Soon, Squire Wu agreed to let Fu Zhi Yi to move in for the treatment of him, with the help of the Old Servant, Uncle Wu Yong (吳府管家吳勇伯), Zhi Yi was being fetched back to the Wu Mansion. From then, the Family was considered Reunion.

After a Month, while Li Tian Cheng was making his trip to Wu Mansion to ask for compensation, a Thunder strike onto him and on the spot, Li Tian Cheng was killed due to his Evil-doing debits. When the news reached the Wu Mansion, all the People were delighted and celebrating the death of Li Tian Cheng.

With the Knowledge of Chinese Medical Skills that Zhi Yi had, Squire Wu was being cured in a short period and knowing that Zhi Yi was a Young Guy with determination and aims, Squire Wu decided to sponsor him to enter into the Imperial Physician Department by going thru the Imperial Examination.

When this news was being mentioned over the Dinner, Zhi Yi & Zi Wei were delighted and both of them kneeled down to thank Squire Wu for the kindness and understanding.

On the Day of departure, Squire Wu promised Zhi Yi that, once he returned from the Imperial Examination, Zi Wei would marry him and by looking at Zi Wei, Zhi Yi happily accepted it and just as he was about to leave, Zi Wei went towards him and tied a Red-string – from Yue Lao Temple (月老祠), onto his left hand and Zi Wei’s on her right hand, this was to signify Forever Together.

While on the way to the Imperial City, Zhi Yi had encountered a lot of obstacles and testing, All these somehow had delayed his chance of sitting for the Imperial Examination and so, worrying that Zi Wei would get worried for him, so he had wrote a letter to Zi Wei that, he could only take the Imperial Examination on the next batch – which was 3 years later, during these 3 years, he would be travelling around to leave other Medical Skills.

Just as the letter was about to reach Wu Mansion, a heavy storm occurred and the Postman was being washed off by the serious flood at the City Border.

1 year passed, Zi Wei comfort herself that Zhi Yi was returning soon.
2 years passed, Zi Wei had engaged her Family Guard to go search for Zhi Yi but no sign of him was found.
3 years passed, Zi Wei had visit ALL Temples in her City to request for Blessings for Zhi Yi.

Just as Zi Wei was about to give up, some newly Graduated Scholars from the New Batch Imperial Examination had returned home, so Zi Wei made her trips to meet up with all these new Scholars to find out whether Zhi Yi was being selected to station in the Imperial Court.

After finding out, one of the Scholars told her that, Zhi Yi’s name was being recorded in the last Batch Imperial Examination, but on the Day of Examination, Zhi Yi was not around for that.

Upon hearing that, Zi Wei was shocked. In her mind, she was thinking that Zhi Yi had been killed by Bandits or so. And at this moment, the Red String that Zi Wei was wearing on her Right Hand suddenly dropped off. Looking at the fallen Red String, Zi Wei sensed that something bad had happening. As she was trying to figure out what had happened, she landed outside Dong Gong Temple. Lifting her head and staring at the Statue of Bao Sheng Da Di, she kneeled down and sobbed pitifully and request for any form of forgiveness, hoping that Zhi Yi could return home safely.

After exiting from the Temple, Zi Wei came to the Cliff besides the Temple. Just as she was looking down into the Cliff, she saw Zhi Yi’s image and without hesitation, Zi Wei jumped off the Cliff. From then, no one had seen her body.

1 Month later, Zhi Yi arrived back at Wu Mansion with the Pride of being appointed as the 7th Grade Imperial Physician, just as he entered into the Mansion, he saw the Mourning Altar for Zi Wei, at 1st, he couldn’t believe his eyes, he thought that these were tricks or illusion, but after Mu Lian explained to him on the actual fact, Zhi Yi break-down with disappointment and sadness.

While Squire Wu preparing the Mourning Clothing for Zhi Yi, Zhi Yi dashed out of the Mansion and with sadness shouting and bitterly crying, Zhi Yi lost in the crowd.

As Squire Wu was trying to chase after Zhi Yi, a Priest approached him and asked him not to continue chasing, cos this was the fate of Zhi Yi. After exchanging names, the Priest was known as Priest Jiang Luan (江巒山人) and just behind him, was Priest Qing Huang.

20 years later, someone had saw Zhi Yi (wearing Priest Robes) plucking Herbs on the Hill at back of Dong Gong Temple. From then, Zhi Yi was not found.
