Introduction on the Fifth Month Festival (歡慶端午節)

 Fifth Month Festival, in Chinese known as Duan Wu Jie (端午節), Duan Yang Jie (端陽節) or Tian Zhong Jie (天中節), in English being translated as Dumpling Festival. In Hokkien Context, we will address it as Fifth Month Festival aka Ghor Ghuet Jhie (五月節).
According to Ancient Chinese Records, Fifth Month Festival actually existed far before Qu Yuan (the Loyal Poet) killed himself on the 5th Day of Lunar 5 Month. Due to Qu Yuan's Popular Image and the Loyalty-ness that he got, after his Death, Chinese only remember that this Day was dedicated to remember him and neglected the Origin of this Festival.

Since Yellow Emperor Era (黃帝時期) invented Lunar Calendar System, Fifth Month Festival was already being stated/shown on the Calendar System. On this Day, it means that the Sun reaches the Mid-point of the Earth (in the Era shall be refering to Mainland China). And so, the Mortal Realm will encounted Extreme Heat & different types of Diseases will arise due to the Moist & Hot weather.

In-order to get-rid of such Diseases from being spreaded around in the Commoners Society, certain pre-cautions had to be taken. This is how later, certain Chinese Herbs are being introduced and used in Chinese Families.

In here, I will start with a short introduction on how Rice Dumpling aka Zong Zi (棕子) came about. The Story goes like that:

Qu Yuan (屈原), other names known as Qu Ping (屈平) or Ling Jun (靈均), born in BC340 (生于公元前340年), hometown in China Hu Bei Province Yi Chang County (湖北宜昌县).

After Qu Yuan grow-up, he got his Official Position in Chu Kingdom (楚國), from then, he was being Highly respected by the Chu King (楚王). Soon, Qin Kingdom (秦國) became the Biggest & Strongest Kingdom among the 7 Kingdoms in the Warring Period. Immediately, Qu Yuan sent an Petition to King Chu to request for joining force with Qi Kingdom (齊國) to go against Qin Kingdom. But due to obstacles in the joining forces, the Cooperation-agreement was being delayed. in BC 305, after the failure in the Cooperation with Qi Kingdom, Chu Kingdom was being conquered by Qin Kingdom.
Soon after Chu Kingdom was being taken over by Qin Kingdom, Qu Yuan was being Send-off by Chu Kingdom, from then, Qu Yuan started his wandering life. In BC 278, Qin Kingdom destoryed Capital Ying (郢都) of Chu Kingdom, upon receiving the news, Qu Yuan was suffered from extreme shock and with the Strong-blow on Chu Kingdom being destroyed, Qu Yuan killed himself in Mi Luo River (汨羅河). At that time, Qu Yuan was only 63 years old.

Knowing that Qu Yuan had killed himself in Mi Luo River, the Commoners of Old Chu Kingdom were upset and touched by his Loyalty and so immediately, the Strong-men gathered Boats and set-off to the River to search for Qu Yuan, hoping that they might be able to rescue Qu Yuan from drowning. After sometime, the Strong-men were not able to see any sight of Qu Yuan. Upon hearing the News, the Elderlys & Ladies started to make Rice-balls & Rice-cubes and asked the Strong-men to go out into the Mi Luo River again, this time round, the Strong-men were advised to throw the Rice-balls & Rice-cubes into the River. This is to allow the Fishes in the River to eat the Rice-balls & cubes and not eating the Flesh of Qu Yuan.

From then, on the Day of Qu Yuan's suicide, 5th Day of Lunar 5 Month, Chinese will prepare Rice-dumplings (包棕子) & participate in Dragon-boat Racing (賽龍舟) to remember the Loyalty & Faithfulness of Qu Yuan.

Now, after knowing how Dragon-Boat Racing & Rice-dumpling come about, I will do some brief Introduction on the Practices on the Ancient Fifth Month Festival.
In Ancient Era, Fifth Month Festival is also known as Tian Zhong Jie (translated as Heaven in the Center Position Day 天中節) and so, Chinese will tend to believe that the Sun had reaches the Peak Point in the Mortal Realm. Besides that, due to Heaven had reaches the Center Point of the whole Mortal Realm, meaning that, this Day, Chinese shall used Yellow-color in-order to respect the Heaven or Deities and so, on this Day, Chinese will only consume or use Items that got Yellow color (In Taoism, Center Position/Element has the Natural Color of Yellow/Brown 中方為黃).

Besides that, due to Chinese also believed that this Day is the Day that All Diseases & Negative Entities will come out to make nasty & harm Mortals, the Chinese will prepared some Natural Herbs/Plants to get rid of the Negative Stuffs.

Such Herbs/Plants are:

1) 艾草 (Artemisia Argyi) - due to the Aroma given out by this Plant, it is able to stop Insects & Worms from getting near
2) 菖蒲 (Acorus Calamus) - due to the Hard & Sharp Stem that this Plant has, Chinese believed that the Stem is able to transform into Spiritual Sword for eliminating Negative Entities
3) 榕枝 (Banyan Leaves Stem) - has a significate of New Life & Re-start
After gathering the Herbs/Plants, the Chinese will used Red-paper to wrap on the Bottom-part of the Herbs/Plants and then hang it outside of the House to prevent the Diseases or Negative Entities from entering.

Once the hanging is completed, the Chinese will prepare a Big Basin of Water and placed it outside the House/Garden where the Sun can shine directly onto the Water. After the Timing reaches 1100Am (Chinese Hour known as Wu Shi or Horse Hour 午時), the Chinese will keep the Water in and then, by adding a little bit of Realgar (雄黃), Artemisia Argyi (艾草), Acorus Calamus (菖蒲), Willow Leaves (柳枝葉) & Peach-blossom Leaves (桃花葉) and once its ready, the whole Family will used the Water for Showering or washing of Face to get rid of any form of Sickness.

By then, the Ladies will prepared Wine with little amount of Realgar (雄黃酒), this is to be consumed by the whole Family in-order to detox the internal toxic-substances in our Physical Body. And Chinese believed that, by drinking this Realgar Wine, oneself will be blessed with Good Health.

Besides the washing & drinking, the Elderlys will also gather 5 Color Strings (Yellow, Red, Green, White & Black 五色線). After the gathering, the Elderlys will tie the 5 Color Strings together to make it into Wrist-band. After that, the Elderlys will distribute them out to each Family Member for wearing. Guys to wear on the Left Hand & Girls on the Right Hand.

Chinese believed that by wearing this 5 Color Wrist-band, oneself will be blessed with the Positive Energies emitted from the 5 Directions (五方正氣) and so, no Negative Entities will be able to come near or do any nasty actions.

In Taoism, on this Day, the Taoists will usually recite the following Mantra immediately oneself get up from the Bed. This Mantra is to gather the Positive Energy from the Heaven to assist oneself in getting rid of any form of Negative Entities.

五月初五天中节。一切災厄灭為塵。急急如律令。
Wu Yue Chu Wu Tian Zhong Jie. Yi Qie Zai E Mie Wei Chen. Ji Ji Ru Lv Ling

For the Offering to Deities/Ancestors on Fifth Month Festival, oneself or the Family can just prepare the following items:

1) 5 Rice-dumplings on each Altar ( most people will prefer Kee Chang - 五顆枧水棕, the Plain one)
2) 3 Cups of Chinese Tea (三杯上等茶)
3) 1 Set of Fruits (in 5 Quantity 生果五顆)
4) 3 Sets of Shou Jin/San Bao Jin (三份壽金/三寶金)
5) 3 Sets of Silver-paper for Ancestors (祖先:三份銀紙錢)

Fifth Month Festival is also a Day for honouring Di Ji Zhu (地基主), for those who have been honouring Di Ji Zhu, remember to prepare some simple Offerings for the Honouring. (More intro on Di Ji Zhu: http://javewutaoismplace.blogspot.sg/2009/04/introduction-on-di-ji-zhu-aka-home.html)

History of Traditional Cuisine - Kueh Chap (閩南傳統美食 - 粿汁)

Alot of People had been eating Kueh Chap since young, but neither any of them know about the Origin or History of when Kueh Chap was founded or created.

In here, I will like to spend a little bit of my time to share with all of you on the Origin of this Wonderful & Tasty Teochew Cuisine - Kueh Chap.

According to Records of Traditional Chinese Cuisine, Initial Form of Kueh Chap was first being found in Ming Dynasty (明朝) History. During that Founding Period, Kueh Chap had yet to have a Name known as Kueh Chap, but Officially known as Ding Bian Cuo (鼎邊挫) or Ding Bian Hu (鼎邊糊), being translated as Wok-side Cooking or Wok-side Frying. Only when later part of Ming Dynasty, after this Cuisine was being brought over to Teochew, from then, the Teochew gave the Title of Kueh Chap to ot.

During Ming Dynasty, Ming Emperor appointed Qi Ji Guang (戚繼光) to Station-guard at the Southern China (中國南方) to fight against the Japanese Sea-pirates & Commoner-Armies (日本倭寇). Just before Qi Ji Guang Set-off for the Battles, Qi Ji Guang started to worry on the Food-supply for the Armies. First, he worried that the Food-supply might not be easy to transport to the Southern Part of China due to High-mountainoues area, secondly, worrying that the Armies might not be able to accept the Food in the Southern China.

On that Night, Qi Ji Guang was not able to take his rest and so, he went wandering around to think of a Solution. Just as he walked past a Kitchen, he saw an Old Madam who woke-up early to do her cooking for the Family. While Qi Ji Guang peep into the Kitchen, he saw the Old Madam was doing grounding of the Raw-rice into Powder-form and after the Raw-rice turned into fine Powder, the Old Madam add water into it and make it into sticky-paste form (米漿). Soon after the Wok was getting Hot, the Old Madam scoop a little-bit of the Paste and pour around the side of the Wok. Once the Paste contacted the Heated Wok, the Paste started to get harden and immediately, the Old Madam "tear" the Harden-paste off from the Wok. After repeating a few rounds of the Hardening of the Paste, the Old Madam stopped and carried-on to do boiling of a pot of Water (due to this Action, it got the Name of Ding Bian Cuo or Ding Bian Hu).

Once the pot of Water started to boil, the Old Madam throw in Vegetables and some left-over Preserve Meats. Once the Soup boil the Second time, she told the Harden-paste and tear it into smaller pieces and throw them all into the Soup. After a while, the Soup was ready for consumed.

Just as the Old Madam finished her cooking, Qi Ji Guang knocked on the Door and made his entry into the Kitchen, seeing that a General came in, the Old Madam was shocked, after explaining to the Old Madam on his purpose of entering into the Kitchen, the Old Madam was pleased to share with Qi Ji Guang on the Food Item.

Upon knowing that Qi Ji Guang was worrying about the Food-supply for the Armies, the Old Madam told him that actually this is very easy to make & keep. As long as the Harden-paste did not get contact with any form of Water/humid, it could last as long as it can be. And whenever oneself wanted to eat it, oneself just needed to boil a bowl of Hot-water and then cut the Harden-paste and add them into the Hot-water, the Harden-paste would slowly soften and ready for eating. This could go without any other Dishes, if oneself was not able to take it plainly, oneself can just add in a bit of Soy-sauce (醬油), Sesame Oil (香油) or Coriander (芫荽) to make it taste better.

After Qi Ji Guang learnt the procedure & steps on making the Paste, he went back to his Camp to impart the knowledge to the Kitchener-Soldiers (火頭軍). From that Day onwards, the whole Qi Ji Guang's Troop started to eat the Harden-paste with Preserve/Dried-meats.

On the way to the Southern China, Qi Ji Guang's traveling was quite Smooth & Successful, soon the Ming Empire Troops arrived in the Min Area (閩地) and started the Battling with the Japanese Invaders. Soon, the Invaders were being defeated and Min Area was returned with the Peacefulness again.

From then, this Cuisine was being spreaded around in the Southern China, first was in Hokkien Province Fu Zhou City (福州市) and later, being imported into Teochew City (潮州市). Due to different Areas, the eating methods were different, today, if we will to eat this Cuisine in Fu Zhou, the Soup-base will be White or Milky in color whereas in Teochew, the Soup-base will be a bit darker or having a Dark-brown color.

In Fu Zhou City, every Year during the Li Xia Day (立夏, before Dumpling Festival), the Fu Zhou People will still have to prepare this Cuisine to honour the Ancestors.

Intro on Incenses aka Josssticks (香枝源由)

Recently, our Members & Friends here are quite engross into the topic of Burning/Using of Incenses (Josstick).
In here, I will do a quick & brief introduction on how First Incense come about and the Ways that Taoists/Chinese will used during Honouring/Paying Respect.

According to Records (these records are done by Mortals after the Pre-historical Era), Burning of Incenses started when Fire first being introduced to Mortal in this Planet Earth (another Saying is that, Mortals make Incenses according to the Standing-Straight-Trees that being Strike by Ligthening to gain the Burning effect).

After Mortals know of how to Set-up Fire, Burning of Incenses started. So from conservative calculation, the Burning of Incenses started Million Years ago (may not be the Actual Calculation).

During Faraway Ancient Period, after Mortal know of how to Set-up Fire, the Mortals had tried to gather Woods for Burning and the whenever the Mortals gathered the Woods that gave out Nice Fragrance after Burning, the Mortals would kept them up and used it only on certain timing (such as Relaxing Timing - maybe this is the Oldest form of Aroma-theraphy).

From then, the Burning continue that Mortals started to know of how to Present Good Stuffs to People they Respect & Love.

But by then, Mortals started to depend on Heaven or the Spiritual Realm alot. Anything that the Mortals couldnt resolve, the Mortals would tend to seek Answer from Heaven or Spiritual World, such as Unknown Sickness break-out. The Mortals were gathered around and kowtow to the Heaven or the Spiritual Beings the Mortals believed in. In-order to get the Blessing from the Spiritual Beings, the Mortals would offer Fruits, Food or the Favourite Items of Oneself's collection to the Spiritual Beings, Good Woods (later known as Inceneses) were being presented.

After Mortals get more Cultivated & able to think like a Mortal, situation changed. Mortals tend to want things in Good-shape and Look-nice. Present of Woods didnt really looked good and so, with the "Smart Mind" of Mortals, different form of Incenses started to arise in the Mortal Society. Slowly, Incenses transformed from a piece of BIG Log to Tiny Pleasant Stick.

And this is how our 1st Incense come about.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Due to alot of Misconception, Folks tend to believe that, Incenses are actually the "Food" for Deities or Spiritual Beings. Which this is NOT True. Till today, alot of Folks Culture still used this Con on Devotees or Ignorant Folks to gain Trust & Wealth. Some Inconsiderate Spiritual People such as Mediums/Spiritual Teachers will tend to use Issues that associated with Incenses to con on People, which is NOT Upright & Accurate.
In Taoism, Incenses are a form of Media that used to Transmit One's Message to the different Level of Heavens or Deities/Spiritual Beings. By doing so, this is to allow Connection being link-up and also, to perform certain forms of Communication/Interaction.
In Taoism, while a Taoist performing the Offering of Incenses, he/she will needed to recite the "Password" as what some Taoists had mentioned. Actually this "Password" is known as the Offering Incenses Incanation (祝香神咒/上香咒).
By doing so, the Message will be able to Transmit thru the Fume of the Incenses to the Heavens and then to the Deities/Spiritual Beings.
So what if Oneself is not able to get hold of Incenses during certain urgent time for making Request?
In Taoism, we dont Insist of Getting an Items in-order for certain Request to be Heard or Answered, this is the Misunderstanding that the Other Faiths had on Taoism and also, the Misconception created by Folks Culture.
When Oneself is not able to get hold of the Physical Incenses Sticks, Oneself is able to use the "Heart/Mind/Soul Incenses" to do the Communication/Interaction. In Chinese known as Xin Xiang (心香), translated as the Incense from the Heart. To put things more Clear & Easy to Understand, meaning Sincerity & Faithfulness.
By reciting the Offering Incense Mantra and then make the Request, the Message that Oneself wanted to tell the Heaven or Deities/Spiritual Beings will be Transmitted.
And so, in the future, when Oneself met with un-forseen situation that needed Incenses, do not worry or get work-up, just do it in a Calm & Steady-way. The result will still be the same.
Add on, in the Olden Days, the Elders will tend to advise us on this:
If oneself is not able to prepare Good Offerings for Deities/Spiritual Beings, never-mind, cos by Offering 3 Good Incenses-sticks, the Deities/Spiritual Beings will also be able to see your Sincerity & Hardwork.
From Universe to Multiverse (大道之中存小道-紀錄片)
In here, is the 2 Documentaries introducing the Multiverse:
http://youtu.be/QiKGWT--c0A
http://youtu.be/-MDvgRgIIGg
In Taoism, we believed that the Universe we are in is only part of the Big Multiverse - meaning there are more then ONE Universe in this "Space" or "Dimension".
Imagine the whole Multiverse is like an Egg Tray, we are only occupying One-minor-compartment only.
道中有道。
把"大宇宙(大道)"相像成一個裝雞蛋的蛋盤﹐每個小蛋格就是一個我們存在的"小宇宙(小道)"。
那﹐真正的"大道"有多大呢﹖
這就得由你用"心"去"發覺"了。
Paying Respect at Sheng Jia Temple (一訪聖家廟)
Last year, while I was in Sengkang Combined Temple to pay respect to Guan Gong (關公) in Tian Jun Fu (天君府), Sheng Jia Temple (聖家廟) standing by Tian Jun Fu was undergoing some Renovation and touch-up.
After a Year, Yesterday's visit, I was susprise to see the nicely renovated Sheng Jia Temple.
This time round, the Temple had quite a number of nice carving features being added, such as Wall-plaques, Statues and even the Ceiling-well. Very elaborate and Ancient Looking.
On the Jade Emperor of Heaven's Altar (玉皇大天尊神龕), the Dragon Pillar and Dragon-wall were being re-touch-up, now the whole Altar look more Superb & Supreme.
After having some pictures-taking at the Front Hall, a few of us went to the Rear-Hall to pay our Respect to Dou Mu Yuan Jun (斗母元君) and Tai Sui (太歲星君). One of the Members in our Group thought that the Main Deity sitting on the High Altar was Guan Shi Yin (觀世音), I told him, thats Not. But on his face, he showed Doubts, cos he told me that the CD playing in the Hall was dedicated to Guan Shi Yin. With a smile, the rest of us just continued our Journey to pay respect at the Last Temple.
Here are some Pictures that I took in the Temple, due to my lousy-going-to-die Handphone Camera and with the Rainy-weather, some of the Pictures tend to look a bit dark.
Clarification of Jade Emperor of Heaven's Official Title (正統道教玉皇大天尊聖號)
Rating:★★★
Category:Other
Dear All,
Just got a request on which is the Official Title of Jade Emperor of Heaven aka Yu Huang Da Tian Zun or Tee Kong.
In here, using the opportunity to clarify on this.
Taoist Official Title for Yu Huang Da Tian Zun (玉皇大天尊) is:
Xuan Qiong Gao Shang Di (玄穹高上帝) or Full Title as
Yu Huang Da Tian Zun Xuan Qiong Gao Shang Di (玉皇大天尊玄穹高上帝)
and NOT
Xuan Ling Gao Shang Di (玄靈高上帝)
Xuan Ling Gao Shang Di, this Title is being created by The Three-in-One Religions and also, some other Five-in-One Religions.
Now in China, Hong Kong & Taiwan, those Taoist Groups that promote Three-in-One Religions used this Xuan Ling Gao Shang Di Title too, which is not Appropriate & Accurate, so do not use the wrong one.
Recently, visited some Temples & Sintuas while they having Celebration, dont know whether they just blindly follow or the Priests that they engaged do not make an effort to check, most of them are using the Wrong Title, which this is Ridiculous & Not Promoting the Upright Culture.
The Different Forms of Tiger Deities (虎爺/虎神的種類)
Rating:★★★
Category:Other
Dear All,
In here, I will do some quick sharing on the Various Forms of Tiger Deities and also, the Deities that are associated with the different forms of Tiger Deities.
Deities associated with Tigers:
1) Heavenly Master Zhang Dao Ling (張道陵天師), subdue a White Tiger
2) Heavenly Marshal Zhao Gong Ming aka Military Wealth Deity (武財神趙公明), subdue a Black Tiger
3) Earth Deity aka Tu Di Gong (土地公) subdue a Normal Tiger aka Yellow/Orange Tiger
4) Heavenly Physician Sun Si Miao (孙思邈) subdue a Normal Tiger
5) Bao Sheng Da Di aka Wu Tao (保生大帝吳本) subdue a Normal Tiger
6) Heavenly Master Xu Xun (許旌陽天師) subdue a Tiger
For the Addressing Term, while we honouring White Tiger Deity, remember we shall not Address him as Bai Hu Ye (白虎爺), this is a form of Disrespect, we shall Address him as Bi Hu Ye (碧虎爺), in Hokkien is Pit Hor Ya (not Pak Hor Ya).
For Black Tiger Deity will be Hiek Hor Ya (黑虎爺) and not Orh Hor Ya (烏虎爺).
For more Official Taoist Addressing Term, we will Address Tiger Deities as Xia Tan Jiang Jun (下壇將軍), in Hokkien as Ha Thua Jiong Kun, meaning Inspector of the Lower Altar.
Various Forms of Tiger Deities that we can see in Temples:
1) Moving downwards with Mouth Opening (下山開嘴)
2) Moving downwards with Mouth Closing (下山閉嘴)
3) Moving upwards with Mouth Closing (上山閉嘴)
4) Moving upward with Mouth Opening and Head turning Back (上山回頭開嘴)
5) Front Leg standing and Rear Leg squatting down, Big Head and Look like Cat (蹲坐大頭虎爺)
For different Forms, in Taoism, we have different meaning and tasks.
For 1), such Tiger Deities will be placed under Altar of the Main Deities in Temple, such Tiger Deities are Officially known as Xia Tan Jiang Jun. Such Tiger Deities are directly or closely involved in Temples or Taoist Groups that performed Spiritual Rituals/Ceremonies that assist Mortals. Such Tiger Deities are to do protection for the Temple or Group and also the Priests & Masters.
For 2), such Tiger Deities will be placed near Earth Deities or below the Altars of Earth Deity. Their main Task will be assisting Earth Deity in doing Inspection for the Area and also, reporting of any Abnormal Events happening. And of cos, the Animal Deity that Mortals will approached for Blessing for getting rid of "Backstabbers (小人)".
For 3), such Tiger Deities are the Happy Tiger Deities that Mortals can approached for requesting Blessing, usually such Tiger Deities will be more than Happy to give the necessary Blessings for the Mortals.
For 4), such Tiger Deities are rarely being seen or Mortals shall Avoid. Such Tiger Deities are known as the Fierce Tiger Deity that filled with Hatred. For Mortals who approached such Tiger Deities will meet with Crashes if the Mortals are Spiritual-weak during that Moment.
For 5), such Tiger Deities are known as the Tame Tiger. Usually mend for Looking after Temple, Taoist Groups, Altars or Homes. Just needed a bowl of Water & Incenses, this type of Tiger Deities will be Happy & Willingly to accept whatever request oneself made.
Why Tiger is always being used or associated with Deities in Taoist/Chinese Culture?
1) Because of the natural behaviour of Tiger - Fierce, Tiger is being used in Taoist/Chinese Culture to symbolize Authority & Braveness.
2) Due to Tiger is being given the Title as King of Mountain/Jungle, so for Taoist/Chinese, we needed to respect him in-order to get Protected.
The 36 Heavens in Taoism Context (道教三十六天)
Rating:★★★
Category:Other
In Taoism, since the Far-away Era, Taoists & Chinese had been believing in the 36 Heavens System and till now, in most Major Taoist Rituals/Ceremonies, the Official Taoist Priests will still perform the Reporting to the 36 Heavens before the starting of the Rituals/Ceremonies. These 36 Heavens are being divided into 9 Levels, each Level with 4 Heavens.
Due to different Eras and different Records, since after Song Dynasty, there are a few sets of 36 Heavens being recorded. Some will being strongly influenced by the Buddhism and so, you will see Buddhist Heavens being recorded inside it, which is not Accurate.
In here, in-order to retain the Oldest Set of 36 Heavens, I will share with you all the 36 Heavens that being recorded by Grand Master Zhang Jun Fang (張君房) in Yun Ji Qi Qian (云笈七签), the Oldest Taoist Encyclopedia (compilation of All Ancient Taoist Articles & Scriptures).
According to Taoist Records, San Qing Heaven also located in this Da Luo Tian, just that San Qing Heaven had their own allocation area in it.
Today in the Taoist Society, due to some Taoist Priests wanted to cut down the Duration & Work on performing certain Taoist Rituals, they tend to cut down the Making of Reports to the 36 Heavens Ritual (the Ritual Title is known as Qi Gu Shang Zou San Shi Liu Tian Ke Yi 啟鼓上奏三十六天科儀 orQi Gu Jin Tian Cao Ke 啟鼓進天曹科) in many Major Rituals/Ceremonies. And due to such ignorant actions, the Practice of this Ritual was not being pass-down. This is indeed a Sad thing to know about.
In the Past, when someone is being seen with these Colors, they will be advised to stay at home at least for 49 Days and during these 49 Days, Rituals or Blessing Ceremonies must be conducted in-order to get rid of the Negative Energies & Entities.
