Zhao Ling Temple Celebration 02 (昭靈廟法會供品鑒賞)





In here, you will see the Offerings that being prepared by the Temple for this Thanksgiving Ritual.

From the 3rd pictures onward, you will see the various Flour-made-Buns that prepared by the Aunties from locally and China. They had put in a lot of efforts in preparing the Buns.

In between the gaps of resting, I went to the Kitchen to do a quick interview with the Aunties and managed to pick up some tips on how to prepare the Buns, the simple ingredients are as followed:

1) Flour
2) Baking Powder
3) Sugar
4) Red-coloring
5) Green-coloring

  6. Yes, in Singapore, not much people will used these.

    For us (Long Shan Men), we will used them for very special occasions or Rituals.

    From our Records, the highest can go, we had prepared up to 36 different kinds of sweet, sour, preserve, dried items, for the Offerings.

  9. All these are known as Fu Bao. Recipe usually is only being pass down to the next generation of their descendants.
