Long Shan Men 180th Anniversary Celebration Event 02 – Setting-Up of Deities Altars (龍山門紮根南洋180年週慶項目二)

Been waiting and waiting, been hoping to continue what my Ancestors & Masters had advised me on and finally, the Day had arrived.

On the Early Morning of 6th Day of Lunar 9 Month, our Long Shan Mens Altar had been set-up and by the order of my Late-Master, Dou Mu Yuan Jun (斗姆元君), Nan Bei Dou Xing Jun (南北斗星君 considered as the Only Set that can be found in Singapore, quite similar to the one that we can see in Telok Blangah Tian Gong Temple), Heavenly Master Zhang Dao Ling (張祖天師) and Wang Ling Guan (王靈官 my Spiritual Protector) had been invited and dotted by me.

Arriving at the Premises (a small Office that Long Shan Men had got, which is in Friend’s Company) at about 6.00Am, I started the necessary preparation and once the Clock hit 8.00Am, I started the Enhancing of the Urn (in Taoist Term known as An Lu 安爐) and followed by the Dotting Ceremony (開光點眼).

Due to the number of Statues was not large, so within an Hour, I had finished doing all the Dotting and last, to invite them onto the Newly Set-up Altar, in Taoist Term known as An Zuo (安座).

By the time I finished the Dotting Ceremony, it was time to pay our respect to the Invited Deities and also to offer our Gratitude to the Deities and so, using the Traditional Customs, 24 – 36 bowls (廿四/卅六大供) of Sweet, Sour, etc, item were prepared.

Soon, the 2nd Batch of Statues will be dotted and once they are being invited, our Altar will be considered as more or less complete and future Rituals/Ceremonies will be able to be conducted according to all the Pass-down Teachings.

PS: If you are sharp in observing Altars, you might be able to spot a difference on our Altar. Try your best to see whether you are able to spot the different.

  5. Oh ok. Btw pardon me for my straight forwardness, the robe that he is wearing doesn't suits his status am I correct?

For Tian Shi Kimsin, I thought mostly in Ba Gua robe one. This kimsin looks more like Zhao Gong Ming rather than Tian Shi. I might be wrong, just sharing my view. Sorry if offended, we are here to learn and share.

  11. You are right, this type of robe doesnt suits Tian Shi, but due to this is an antique statue that being pass-down, so we have to use it during the official opening.

For the moment, we have a Taoist Group whom had sponsor us a more unique statue of Tian Shi, will be doing dotting later, so will keep you all update on the latest pics.

Million Thanks to your sharing and concern.

  12. Hahaha, thank you bro :P

And Bingo, you have spotted the Mystery Part on our Altar.

Yes, till today, no one had yet to dare to put Bei Dou Xing Jun on the Dragon side, which is a pity issue.

Cos from the Day when Zhang Tian Shi started Zheng Yi Sect, he had been doing promoting on paying respect to Bei Dou Xing Jun and as what Tai Shang Lao Jun had mentioned in the Bei Dou Scripture, Bei Dou Group is the leading Group in the Universe and so, by allowing him to sit on the Dragon side, it will be able to emit and release out the necessary and or the fullest blessing that he can for the Beings.

This was the advise being passed down by my ancestors and late master. :P

So today, we are trying to pass this piece of info to all ppl.

  13. Yup yup :P

This statue is made according to the one that can be found in the main Temple in China. In Singapore, there are only 2 pieces, one with a Temple and one with us.

  20. jave, is nan dou xing kun at the left side many people put it right side because , they said that nan dou is the 5 star ,same with the tai yang xing kun ,so nan dou xing kun always at right?!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hahahaha, we put according to the importance of the Deities and also the Position of the Deities, not by the quantity of the Stars.

In Taoism, Bei Dou come first, follow by Nan Dou, Dong Dou, Xi Dou and last, Zhong Dou.

What you mentioned is Folks Culture.

  23. so, bei dou is in the right side ? and did you have any picture of dou mu yuan jun and all his sons?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes, Bei Dou is always on the Dragon Side (which is the right when you facing the Altar).

Till today, only High Priests and Official Taoists will do this type of placement, other then that.. mostly are in the wrong position.

Dou Mu and her sons, you can refer to the last posting on Tian Gong's Anniversary, you will see the Antique Altars of Dou Mu and the Nine Emperors in my Old Temple.

  25. Thank you very much!
Jave, is long shan men a school for dao jiao only? or not ?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes, other than Dao Jiao, we dont promote other Faiths.

Long Shan Men is an Ancient Taoist School, been in this Mortal Realms for more than 1000 years.

We are the direct-lineage-disciple of Heavenly Master Zhang Dao Ling.

  27. so, if i am a buddhist but i want to learn taoist more .so, i can learn there?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Since you are honouring Guang Ze, why are you a Buddhist?

Plan your future and choose the One that you have more faith in. Cos by mixing them, you are just distorting the Culture of Both Religions.

This is what I advise the others too.

Ponder on this and when you ready, then give me your final answer.

  29. Because from my childhood i always pray to Guang ze zun wang at surabaya's Hong tek hian temple.
But ,when i am at 10 years old i reliazed that guan shi yin phu sha always came to me and have a talk .......

    ReplyDelete
  30. Then my advise, go into Buddhism for the time being.

When you are ready, then you can approach me or any Official Taoist People in your Town.

Cos by stepping on 2 Boats, at the end, you are the one who suffered.

Take my advise, be more faithful to the one that you believe in.

  31. Will you be posting up your Tai Shang Lao Jun's picture anytime soon?
