Bai Diao Qian (白吊錢) or Bai Gao Qian (白高錢), literally translated as the Long White Coins, a traditional Paper Offerings of the Hokkien Clan in China Jinmen (中國福建金門傳統紙料), which originated in Jin Dynasty (最早記錄為晉朝時已用于送葬), for the Pass-on or spe...cial Salvation Rituals dedicated to Wandering Souls.
Today in Singapore, Jave had bring back this Traditional Practise, hope that this Ancient Culture of our Ancestors can be pass-down further to those who are interested in preserving our Root-culture.
This Year, Jave will be using this Bai Diao Qian in the 7th Month Salvation Ritual and hope that by then, more people can also use it together with Jave to promote it to more people.
In here is a picture taken by Royce Tan, whom had prepare the Bai Diao Qian with the enhancement of the Seal of our Official Taoist Wang Sheng Incantation (道教往昇咒).
In Taoist Contexts, this Bai Diao Qian with our Taoist Wang Sheng Incantation is known as Kai Ming Yin Lu Qian (開冥引路錢) or Lu Tou Qian (路頭錢), which will use to lead the Souls to Lord Cheng Huang Department (城隍殿) for reporting
