In this Group of Pictures, you will be seeing the Various Spiritual Notices or Official Taoist Notices that being used during such an Official or Grand Ritual/Ceremony (道教榜文).
Such Notices are being used in-order to keep the Deities, Mortals & other Spiritual Beings informed on the Ritual/Ceremony that is being conducted in the Area.
Besides that, such Notices are also used to Invite Heavenly Marshals to stay guard at the Premises in-order not to let any Negative Entities from invading & create nuisances.

ReplyDeleteDo you have the List of Names for the Different Months?
ReplyDeleteLike "Li Yue" is for the 6th Month etc.
稽首 refering to while Paying Respect, the Forehead will need to touch the Ground. In Taoism, represent the Highest Respect.
ReplyDelete顿首 refering to Normal Bowing or Head Nodding.
Usually these 2 terms will be used together in-order to show the Sincerity & Faithfulness of Oneself.
