Its Qing Ming Festival again.

Every year, during the Qing Ming Festival, the Taoists & Chinese will visit Tombs to perform the cleaning of the Ancestors or Forefathers Tombs and some of the Taoists & Chinese will return back to their parents home to pay respect to the Ancestors or the passed-on family members.

And of cos, some ignorant Folks will follow some Folks Religious Groups to visit cemetery to do paper-offering-burning for the passed-on.

And so, shall they do that?

Qing Ming Festival is unlike the Seventh Month Festival. Qing Ming Festival is a Festival or a period that allowed the Descendants of the Passed-on to show their Filial Piety and also to return their Gratitude to the passed-on for bringing them up or thank them for the assistances that the passed-on provided while they are still in this Mortal World.

By going to cemetery to do paper-offering-burning is just an additional and meaningless action or event to carry out during this period.

During Qing Ming Festival, Ancestors or the Passed-on will only be able to receive whatever that are being dedicated to them by the close-kin, relatives, descendants or children. By what so -called the authority of Mediums or any Nether World Deities, etc, are just forms of commercial acts and publicity for the Religious Group, etc.

In-order for the Ancestors or Passed-on to be able to collect whatever that the close-kin, relatives, descendants or children dedicated to them, an Official Taoist Priest must be engaged or, an Endorsed Lu Piao (路票) or Ji Wu Die Wen (給物牒文) must be presented during the burning, other then these, the wandering Souls from any area will not be able to collect anything, etc.

Many Religious Groups & Organisations have been trying to claim that by bring people to cemetary to do paper-offering-burning is a form of promoting our Taoist Culture, actually this is not true and not Upright, dont be fool by such promotions or saying, cos, one self will spend more and encounter more problem after these types of event, so do be aware.
