In here, you will see a New Statue dedicated to the 64th Heavenly Master Zhang Yuan Xian 一六十四代張源先天師聖像 who attained his Immortal-hood in 17 Oct 2008 (於戊子年九月十九日得道羽化).
This Statue was being made for a Taoist Group in Taiwan.
I can said that this is a wonderful statue dedicated to Heavenly Master Zhang Yuan Xian.
Highest Respect to him.
err have all the past 62 kim sim other than zhang dao ling tian shi himself?
ReplyDeleteYes, in Long Hu Shan, the Hall that dedicated to Zhang Tian Shi got all the 63 Heavenly Masters' Statues.
ReplyDeleteBut in Taiwan & Spore, till today, we can only see Zhang Dao Ling's Statue, this is a sad thing.
oo icic.
ReplyDeletesifu..may i ask, can we make a kim sin for our departed love ones as a show of respect???
ReplyDeleteNo, cannot.
ReplyDeleteHow do we know whether has this certain Heavenly Master gain enlightment?
ReplyDeleteIs there any sign?
Once Heavenly Master pass-on, they will be given a Seat in the Heavenly Realm, same goes to ALL Official Taoist Priests.
ReplyDeleteBut of cos, ALL of us needed to do cultivation, perform good deeds and go thru ALL sort of Training, if not, oneself will not be able to get the Position as being given during Endorsement.
Ic..understood.
ReplyDeleteShi Fu, actually how many Tian Shi do we have in Taoism ?
ReplyDeleteZheng Yi Sect, we have 64 Tian Shi. For Tian Shi, only the descendants are able to take over the Position.
ReplyDeleteFor Jing Ming Sect aka Lv Shan Sect, Xu Xun is the only Tian Shi.
For Ling Bao Sect, Ge Xuan & Ge Hong are the only Tian Shi.
For anothe famous Tian Shi will be Sa Shou Jian.
Jing ming sect in chinese is? if xu xun is the only tian shi, means they only recognise him as tian shi instead of zhang dao lin?
ReplyDeletesa shou jian is??? his the tian shi for which sect?
Hahaha, Jing Ming is 淨明道. Only Tian Shi meaning that, in Jing Ming Sect, only Xu Xun got the Title as Tian Shi, the rest of the successors do not qualified for that Title, same goes to the other Sects.
ReplyDeleteSa Shou Jian (薩守堅), his Sect is known as Xi He Sect (西河派), Tian Shan Sect (天山派), Sa Zu Sect (萨祖派). Seldom see in South East Asia.

ReplyDeleteThanks for theexplanation, Shi Fu.
Can say so, in Late Song & Ming, there are a few more, but we dont count them in, cos they are under the Three-in-One Religions.
ReplyDeleteSo till today, the Four Official Heavenly Masters are:
Zhang Dao Ling
Xu Xun
Ge Xuan/Ge Hong
Sa Shou Jian
Other than this combination, the rest are not Official.
Thanks for the info.
