Dear All,

The following are pictures taken on the 18th Day of Lunar 1 Month, during a Taoist Ritual conducted at a Sintua in Singapore (apologise for the not-so-good-quality pictures taken).

Due to permission & privacy issue, in here, I will not disclosed the name of the Sintua.

This is a very special Taoist Ritual conducted on that day. After so many years of learning this set of Taoist Ritual Skill from my Late-Master, I had yet to do performed the full set of this Ritual myself before, cos my Late-Master did advised that, this Ritual can only performed for an Upright or Non-commercial Temple/Sintua/Taoist, etc, while he decided to impart me with the Skill. And so, I followed his advises.

During the Ritual, at the initial part, Reporting to San Qing (三清道祖) & Jade Emperor of Heaven (玉皇大天尊) was being made and a Spiritual Petition was being sent after ushering in the Reporting Officer (送表官).

And then, the Invitation of different Deities were being made: (see pic01 & pic02)

After ushering in the Deities, normal chanting was carried out and then at about Noon timing, the Special Blessing Ritual for the Sintua was being conducted.

This is a Ritual that seldom Priests will performed or Learnt, cos, after performing this Ritual, the Energies that being emitted out/lost from/by the Conducting-Priest can be extremely high.

In pic03, before the Ritual can be conducted, the Cleansing of Surrounding and the associated items must be enhanced, and so, by standing in front of Wang Ling Guan (王靈官), I called upon the Blessing & Enhancing Energy from him, in-order to allow the Cleansing to be done:

After enhancing the Water, the Cleansing & Enhancing of the items were being done:

After the Blessing Ritual starts (which is the Peak of the Day), most of the Devotees were seems to enter a joyous mood. Everyone was seems to have got the happiness being blessed on them. Whatever questions being asked, the devotees were able to reply with an extremely happy mood.

Soon, the whole Ritual came to an end.

During the Sending Off of Deities, everyone was seems to be anxious and happy.

After the Paper-offerings being lighted with Fire, all the devotees were so enthusiastic to walk around the Fire and of cos, at the last moment, everyone shouted HUAT (發).

With the sound HUAT, the Ritual marked an End.

Till today, this is the most Special & Delightful Ritual that I had conducted.

Thanks to the Committee, Students of Long Shan Men, without them, this Ritual wont be conducted so successfully.

  3. In the second picture, is it the Taoist 5 Offerings or 10 Offerings?

  4. For normal/minor Ritual/Ceremony, Five Offerings are being used.

For a bigger scale Ritual/Ceremony, then Ten Offerings will be used.

Most probably on the coming 9th Month Celebration, I will be using the Ten Offerings :P

  6. For us Zheng Yi Priests, we have three types of Head Gear that we can wear, for this time, I'm wearing the Nine Beams Hat - Jiu Liang Jing.

For bigger scale, I will wear the San Qing Guan or so-called Nan Bei Dou Guan, which is in the flower form.

For summoning of Armies, I will wear the head gear that look like what Xuan Tian Shang Di wear, that is mend for Lv Shan Sect.

So different timing, different head gear.

  19. Eventhou our Sect is under Zheng Yi Tian Shi Sect, but some of our Skills & Practices are different from what you see in the Society now.

Reasons, cos we are still using the Old & Traditional Skills that being passed down since Ancient Era, whereas most of the Rituals/Ceremonies you see outside are already mixed with other things.

  20. Taoism is being divided into many minor Sects.

The most Senior Sect of All other Sects will be Zheng Yi Tian Shi Sect, which is the sect that Heavenly Master Zhang Dao Ling founded.
