  1. Dear All,

    Here's a quick report on the observation done on the 1st Day Ritual.

    Arrive at Takashimaya at about 5.00pm, due to the Ritual Group was having their break, so, a few of us had to walk around the Tentage to look at the Decoration and Displays.

    As usual, the Decoration and Displays are wonderful and grand.

    By looking at the Main Altar, you would be able to feel the Grandness of the whole Ritual.

    At a few metres away from the Main Altar, you can see a small Altar being set-up dedicating to San Guan Da Di (三官大帝) aka The Lord Emperors of Three Realms, at the side of the small Altar, a Big Paper Boat was made dedicating to the Souls, hoping by the end of the Ritual of the Salvation of the Souls, the Souls can board the Boat ans Sail to the Happiness Land.

    At the right side of the Tentage, you would see a huge Paper Da Shi Ye (鬼王大士爺) aka The Ghostly King, very nicely being done and infront of the Paper Statue, a Spiritual Notice authorising Da Shi Ye and other Deities to look after the Area while the Ritual being conducted. Beside that Right Altar, a Paper Gold Coffer Hall was being dedicated.

    In the Center of the Tentage, a High Altar set-up for the Ancestors and Souls and on the Left Tentage, a Temporary Resting Area dedicating to the Souls. Beside that Left Altar, a Paper Silver Coffer Hall was being dedicated.

    On the Left Tentage, in front of the Soul Resting Area, a Big Spiritual Notice was being hung-up, doing reporting on who, where, how and what event was being conducted there, etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Due to time was still early, a few of us went to Jalan Bersah to get some Religious items and at about 8.00pm, I went back to Takashimaya to meet up with my student.
    This time round, the Night Ritual started.
    Again and as usual, a Ritual that always so Interesting, Attractive & Amazing.
    During one part of the Ritual, all the Ritual Masters had to hold Lanterns & Flags to run around the whole front stage (the Main Altar) with different formations.
    The whole running around take about 30mins and by the time the running ended, all the Masters were perspiring with sweat, really a tough job.
    Due to have to rush to another place for discussion, had to leave the place at about 9.30pm.
    Miss the last part of the Closing for the Night Ritual.
    Will try to catch some Morning Ritual on Saturday Morning.
    Always a Ritual that attracted me :P
    Will resume at 7.15pm and ends at 10.00Pm.
    On Sunday Night, which is the Peak of the whole Event, the Shan Tang Ritual Group will perform the Yu Jia Yan Kou 瑜伽焰口 (a typical Buddhist Ritual for the Salvation of Souls), if you are interested in observing, do not miss that.
