Xuan Tian Shang Di Praise Mantra Intro (玄天上帝寶誥簡介)

Upon request, here's the quick introduction:

Xuan Tian Shang Di, a popular Deity in Taoism. Besides being popular in Taoism, Xuan Tian Shang Di also attracted a lot of followers from various beliefs (whether it is Orthdox, Unorthodox or a Cult, etc).

 

Due to the popularity and the so-commonly being invited to witness certain Rituals/Ceremonies, over the years,  number of Mantras are being created dedicated to Xuan Tian Shang Di, in here, I will start with our Main Stream Taoism Mantra that is dedicated to him.

 

Xuan Tian Shang Di Bao Gao aka Praise Mantra, a form of Mantra that used to make praise towards Xuan Tian Shang Di and also, act as a form of Spiritual Connection for the Mortals & him.

 

By reciting the Bao Gao and using it in the Upright & Accurate way, a Taoist (Mortal) will be able to get the connection from Xuan Tian Shang Di, but it the practice is being not in a proper manner, then, I can only wishes the one self Good Luck and beware.

 

Ok, here the quick translation on the Mantra (never treat any translation as a Final or Exact one, translation for Taoist Writings can only be treated as a form of reference, only by knowing the surface meaning of the Writing, then one self shall do more understanding, find-out and Realising of the Deeper meaning & wisdom)

 

金闕化身玄天上帝寶誥

Xuan Tian Shang Di Bao Gao aka Praise Mantra

 

至心皈命禮。

Paying my Highest Respect to.

 

混元六天。傳法教主。

In the 6 highest level of the Heavenly Realm, there is One Deity who is being appointed to do the Preaching of Taoism or Promoting the Upright Culture of Tao.

 

修真得道。濟度羣迷。

By doing self-cultivation and finally attaining Enlightenment, the Deity assisted the Mortals or Beings to get rid of Sufferings and leading them onto the Upright & Correct Path.

 

普為眾生。消除災障。

Not only that, the Deity also assist the Mortals or Beings to get rid of any misfortunes & mishaps.

 

八十二化三界祖師。

He is the 82^nd Manifestation of Xuan Yuan Sheng Zu, which is believed to be Dao De Tian Zun.

 

大慈大悲。救苦救難。

By showing his compassionate, he made promises to ease out all sorts of sufferings.

 

三元都部署。九天遊弈使。

With his sincerity, determination, consistence and willingness, the Deity got Official Titles being bestowed upon with, such as San Yuan Du Bu Shu, Jiu Tian You Yi Shi (meaning, appointed as a High Position Marshal or Overall In-charge to do Inspection in the Three Realms).

 

左天罡北極右垣大將軍。

& Zuo Tian Gang Bei Ji You Yuan Da Jiang Jun (meaning, a Deity initialed with a Star Form and assisting Lord Emperor Zi Wei in the Northern Hemisphere, in the Northern Hemisphere, he got another recognition as You Yuan Da Jiang Jun, meaning on the Right Border of the North Pole).

 

鎮天助順。真武靈應。

With the authorities, the Deity is able to assist the Three Realms to perform the necessary Tasks in helping the Mortals or Being.

 

福德衍慶。仁慈正烈。

With the authorities, the Deity is able to provide the necessary blessings.

 

協運真君。治世福神。

By doing so, the Deity is able to gain own Credits & Merits and also, providing the chances for the Mortals or Beings to gain the Positive Credits & Merits.

 

玉虛師相玄天上帝。

And so, who is this Deity? He is Yu Xu Shi Xiang, Xuan Tian Shang Di.

 

金闕化身。

Jin Que Hua Shen (the Manifestation from the Initial gust of Energy in the Universal).

 

蕩魔終劫濟苦天尊。

Dang Mo Zhong Jie Ji Du Tian Zun (an Official Taoist Title of Xuan Tian Shang Di).
