  1. Just curious. Can you find someone to draw these pictures in Singapore? Or they have to come from China?

  2. In Spore, yes.. but is a bit expensive.

Usually we will get them from China, but if we want very detail and fine paintings, we will have to engage Taiwanese Masters to do it.

  11. What is the name of this deity shifu? And what is his functions?

  12. This is Marshal Ma aka Hua Guang. This is the form that normal temples or sintuas will used during big celebrations.

Some paintings, they will paint him standing and holding to a spear.

  13. Oh I see, I didn't recognized him without his pyramid and third eye. Thanks a lot shifu.

  14. Welcome.

Alot of paintings do not include the 3rd eyes or pyramid... cos of certain reasons n issues.

  15. Hahahaha... some of the painters dont know who is Hua Guang, and some of them are ignorance of the appearance of Hua Guang, etc.

  16. Oh I see. Some even write the title "Er Lang Shen" in a statue with a pyramid and obviously Hua Guang.

  17. I've seen Hua Guang (Wu Xian Da Di) be depicted as an actual 5 persons, one of them is green and the other black... I'm quite bothered if this is correct...

  18. In some contexts, Wu Xian can be divided into Five, but that one is definitely not Hua Guang, cos Hua Guang's title Wu Xian only being bestowed to him only.

  19. But I saw the five statues being the same in appearance as hua guang also with pyramids and third eye. Maybe they are mistaken.., nevermind hahaha Thanks.

  21. Yup, that is Zhao Gong Ming, in the normal color face form.

Till today, there are still alot of paintings of Zhao Gong Ming in this form, I personally find it look better that the black face one.
