Hong Luan Xing Jun (红鸾星君) aka Hong Luan Xing (红鸾星), one of the few Deities that are appointed to look into the issues of Marriage & Relationship (姻緣). In most of the Contexts, Hong Luan Xing Jun can be seen working closely with Yue Lao (月老) to do the connecting of people with affinities.
In myths, Hong Luan Xing Jun was known as the daughter of Xi Wang Mu aka Mother Queen of the West (西王母), name known as Princess Long Ji (龙吉公主) or Rui Gong Xian Zi (蕊宫仙子). After Xi Wang Mu knew that Hong Luan Xing having the thoughts of going into the Mortal World, Xi Wang Mu granted her wish and sent her down to Mt Feng Huang, Qing Luan Court (凤凰山青鸾斗阙).
In Shang Dynasty (商朝), upon knowing Master Jiang Zi Ya (姜子牙) engaged in battles with the Evil King Zhou of Shang Empire, Hong Luan Xing Jun went to look up for Master Jiang Zi Ya and agreed to assist him in defeating the Evil King Zhou.
After several battlings, one day, Hong Luan Xing Jun captured one of the Generals of the Shang Empire, known as Hong Jin (洪錦). On the point of the captured, Hong Luan Xing Jun wanted to kill Hong Jin, just at the moment of the sword touched Hong Jins neck, an Old man appeared in front of them, this Old man was Yue Lao. After Yue Lao explained to Hong Luan Xing Jun that Hong Jin was actually the predestinated husband of her, Hong Luan Xing Jun changed her mind and she asked Hong Jin whether he wanted to marry her. Upon knowing the Hong Luan Xing Jun was the wife of his, Hong Jin agreed and willing to surrender and assist Master Jiang Zi Ya to defeat the Shang Empire.
After the Shang Empire was defeated, during the Title-bestowing Ceremony for the Deities, Hong Luan Xing Jun was bestowed with the title of Hong Luan Xing and Hong Jin, her husband bestowed with the title Long De Xing Jun (龍德星君).
From then, Hong Luan Xing Jun was given the tasks of looking into issues that associate with Mortals on Relationship or Marriage.
