Ma Gu (麻姑) aka The Maiden of Longevity, an Ancient Era Lady Immortal. Official Title known as Ma Gu Zhen Ji Chong Ying Ren You Miao Ji Yuan Jun (麻姑真寂沖應仁佑妙濟元君).
According to records, Ma Gu hometown was in Jian Chang (建昌), the younger sister of Immortal Priest Wang Fang Ping (仙人王方平) and also, one of the disciples of Xi Wang Mu aka Mother Queen of the West (西王母).
Since young, she had been closely connected with Spiritual stuffs and so, after she grow-up, she went to Mountain Gu Yu in Mu City (牟州姑餘山) to do her cultivation and learning of Spiritual Skills. Due to her intelligent, Ma Gu mastered her Skills in very short period and soon, she got her Enlightement (at Nan Cheng Province 南城縣).
The age that Ma Gu got her Enlightenment was believed to be less than 20 years old.
In China today, you can still find the Mountain where Ma Gu got her Enlightenment. In order to keep her In memory, the folks named the Mountain under her name, known as Mountain Ma Gu aka Ma Gu Shan (麻姑山).
In Taoism, Ma Gu Shan is being considered as the number 28th Immortal Area (道教第二十八洞天).
